CompositionCREST MEMBRANA 3010® is a pre-mix membrane, ready to use, formulated with urethane binder and chemicals additives.

Limitations of the ProductŸ Install only at temperatures between 50°F and 100°F

(10°C and 38°C).

Ÿ Total thickness of the material should not exceed 3/32”or 90 mils.

Ÿ Do not use it as a wear surface.

Ÿ It must be covered with approved flooring materials using approved application methods.

Ÿ CREST MEMBRANA 3010® is a “positive side” waterproofing membrane only. Do not use where hydrostatic/negative water pressure can occur.

Ÿ CREST MEMBRANA 3010® is not intended to reduce sub-floor moisture or moisture vapor transmission.

Ÿ CREST MEMBRANA 3010® is not designed for use in joints/cracks with dynamic movement (i.e. expansion, isolation, or construction joints).

Ÿ As a waterproofing/anti-fracture/sound reduction membrane CREST MEMBRANA 3010® is designed for movement of 1/8”, or less.

Surface PreparationBefore preparing the mixture of CREST MEMBRANA 3010® it is necessary to clean the surface, which must be structurally sound, dimensionally stable, flat and clean, free from oil, paint, sealers, wax, dirt or any other type of impurity that might prevent proper adhesion.

All cracks (1/8” or less), corners, drains, pipes should be treated by applying CREST MEMBRANA 3010® with the flat side of the trowel to achieve a flat, reinforced, uniformly thick membrane (30-mil. minimum). A minimum 6” wide coat should be applied to both sides of the joint, crack, or intersection.

Cracks greater than 1/8” should be treated, by inserting a backer rod, bond breaker tape or fill the crack/joint with CREST FLEXIGROUT®. Let it cure for 2 hr. approx. consult respective Technical Data Sheet for more information or consult www.crest.com.mx for technical assistance.

After the cracks are filled, follow the Product Application Instructions below.

Mixing ProceduresUse the appropriate safety equipment, such chemical-resistant gloves when handling product.

CREST MEMBRANA 3010® is ready to use, simply open the product, mix and apply.

Directions

Premium Tile & Stone Installation Products

Product ApplicationFollow applicable ANSI, TCNA and NTCA installation standards. Read to understand TDS completely before beginning installation.

Waterproofing, noise reduction, and crack isolation: Apply CREST MEMBRANA 3010® using the notched side of a 3/16” x 5/32” V-Notch Trowel, immediately smooth material with flat side of trowel to achieve a flat, uniformly thick membrane with a minimum wet thickness of 30-mil (thickness of a credit card).

Anti-fracture/crack Isolation membrane: Apply CREST MEMBRANA 3010® using the notched side of a 3/16” x 5/32” V-Notch Trowel. Immediately smooth the material with flat side of trowel to achieve a flat, uniformly thick membrane with a minimum wet thickness of 30-mil (thickness of a credit card). The membrane should be applied to both sides of the crack/joint a minimum of the width of the tile being installed (i.e. a 12” tile should have a minimum 24” wide membrane).

CuringKeep all traffic off the installation until material cures (6-12 hours approx.). Temperature and humidity can affect working time and setting time.

Expansion and Control JointsFollow ANSI specification A108.01 “Requires for Movement Joints”; Provide for expansion and control joints as specified per TCNA Detail EJ171 or TTMAC Specification Guide 09 30 00 Detail 301EJ. Do not cover any expansion joints with mortar.

StorageStore it in a cool dry area.

ProtectionClean your hands after use it, avoid eye contact, or prolonged contact with skin, if eye contact occurs, flush with water for 15 minutes and consult a physician immediately.Keep out of reach of children.
