Selecting the right size of mirror is important. The tables below gives a good indication to the viewing distances each mirror is suited for.

Work out your combined viewing distance and match this distance with the chart to obtain the right size mirror for your application. If in doubt, always choose the larger size mirror.

Stainless steel convex mirrors are heavy duty providing a higher resolution image than the acrylic mirrors, thus producing longer viewing distances.

Internal or external convex mirror?

Both our internal and external safety mirrors are weatherproof. However, the external convex mirrors feature stronger brackets capable of tolerating windy conditions and a visor to minimize sun glare.

Acrylic or stainless steel?

For many standard applications the general purpose, acrylic convex mirror is suitable for a number of situations. The stainless steel convex mirrors are heavy duty with longer viewing distances. They are ideal for areas of extreme weather conditions, food processing plants and mining environments. As these mirrors are virtually unbreakable, they are also suitable for areas prone to high vandalism.

All internal convex mirrors are supplied with wall mount brackets as standard.

Our larger mirrors have an additional extending arm to give additional strength and flexibility.

The stainless steel face on this convex mirror is virtually unbreakable. Each mirror features a heavy duty steel mounting bracket suitable for 76mm posts.

Half Dome Mirrors:

Half dome mirrors provide views in two directions and are therefore ideal for T-intersections.

Quarter Dome Mirrors:

Quarter dome mirrors require less space than a standard convex mirror and are therefore useful for blind spots around corners.

Our acrylic wide angle mirror gives crystal clear viewing across a wide field of view. These convex mirrors are industrial quality and incorporate a heavy duty steel mounting bracket for windy conditions. These make ideal safety mirrors.

The acrylic model is 900mm wide by 600mm high. The mounting brackets are for a 76mm outside diameter post, and an adapter bracket for attaching to walls.
