I feel that the acting and shots used within our preliminary task went well. This is because me and Daoud were committed to our roles. There was so many takes within the preliminary task and Daoud was getting frustrated because he had to memories his lines, we sometimes read each-others lines in between and this lead to some confusion within the group and had to spend about 5 minutes to re-read the lines. Being committed was one of our strong point within the group because we had to record our task after sc hool and we all stayed back whether a person wasn’t needed. This showed that our group was working as a team and showed encouragement to each other. Vinay, our director kept telling actors to re-do the shots and me and Daoud gave our best shot to complete the task. The director of the preliminary task I feel was well organized and also had a great mind to spot mistakes, by this I mean when we were recording, Vinay stopped and pointed out mistakes that me and Daoud were doing. This I believe was a benefit to both me and Daoud because from this we can learn what mistakes we had done and how we would improve it when it comes to the main task. I feel that when a director sometimes spots mistakes in the actors shows a great knowledge and organizing skills from the director. The shots used in our preliminary task was given to us and had to use them. I feel that the shots given to us was used and planned as a team. Janki had done the storyboard and with the help of the storyboard we used this to arrange the scenes and looked at which shot would be used where. We rearranged the storyboard thinking of which shot would be used where, we then gave our individual ideas and then compromised as a group and had our final outcome. There were some mistakes being spotted within the final preliminary task. There was some continuity editing not being done properly. Th e mistakes that were spotted was at the part where Daoud is running in the door is seen open and as he reaches the door its closed. As he enters the door is seen to be closed as he goes up the stairs. From this I learnt that as a group we didn’t review the final video and posted it on YouTube. From this I will make sure for the final task that the group edit the video and watch it and spot any mistakes. Daoud is seen running in the sixth for block with the door being open. As Daoud comes closer to the door, the door is closed. The door should either be closing or either open Daoud then enters and goes up the stairs. The door is seen close when it is supposed to be fully open as it is a automated door

Preliminary Task – Analysis

My contribution towards the preliminary task was to act and produce a script.

I feel that the acting and shots used within our preliminary task went well. This is

because me and Daoud were committed to our roles. There was so many takes

within the preliminary task and Daoud was getting frustrated because he had to

memories his lines, we sometimes read each-others lines in between and this lead to

some confusion within the group and had to spend about 5 minutes to re-read the

lines. Being committed was one of our strong point within the group because we had

to record our task after school and we all stayed back whether a person wasn’t

needed. This showed that our group was working as a team and showed

encouragement to each other. Vinay, our director kept telling actors to re-do the

shots and me and Daoud gave our best shot to complete the task. The director of the

preliminary task I feel was well organized and also had a great mind to spot

mistakes, by this I mean when we were recording, Vinay stopped and pointed out

mistakes that me and Daoud were doing. This I believe was a benefit to both me andDaoud because from this we can learn what mistakes we had done and how we

would improve it when it comes to the main task. I feel that when a director

sometimes spots mistakes in the actors shows a great knowledge and organizing

skills from the director.

The shots used in our preliminary task was given to us and had to use them. I feel

that the shots given to us was used and planned as a team. Janki had done the

storyboard and with the help of the storyboard we used this to arrange the scenes

and looked at which shot would be used where. We rearranged the storyboard

thinking of which shot would be used where, we then gave our individual ideas andthen compromised as a group and had our final outcome.

There were some mistakes being spotted within the final preliminary task. There was

some continuity editing not being done properly. The mistakes that were spotted

was at the part where Daoud is running in the door is seen open and as he reaches

the door its closed. As he enters the door is seen to be closed as he goes up the

stairs. From this I learnt that as a group we didn’t review the final video and posted it

on YouTube. From this I will make sure for the final task that the group edit the video

and watch it and spot any mistakes.

Daoud is seen running in the

sixth for block with the door

being open.

As Daoud comes closer to the

door, the door is closed. The

door should either be closingor either open

Daoud then enters and

goes up the stairs. The door

is seen close when it is

supposed to be fully open

as it is a automated door
