1) Discuss opportunities to support improved patient care initiatives and the application and dissemination of knowledge and skills in all clinical settings across the continuum of care;
2) Incorporate current evidence-based strategies into person and family-centred care through new and innovative technologies, applications and treatments specific to wound, ostomy and continence care;
3) Advance the leadership role of Nurses Specialized in Wound, Ostomy and Continence (NSWOC) and aligned healthcare professionals through education, advocacy, research and professional development;
4) Promote an integrated community of care required to support individuals and families with wound, ostomy and continence needs and challenges;
5) Provide opportunities for participants to network with health care professionals and industry partners specific to the specialty of wound, ostomy and continence nursing.
