Attendance

SPAA has hosted many successful EXPO’s, Forums and Conferences to promote Precision

Agriculture (PA). Recent events held at Mawson Lakes (Adelaide), Keith (SE) and Cleve (EP) and

Clare (Mid North) in South Australia and Albury (NSW) have attracted more than 600 people

including farmers and agronomists to hear first hand about the latest developments in PA and their

commercial application from other growers.

This EXPO in 2011 will build on the success of previous SPAA events and continue to highlight new

PA technologies and their application, to increase the profitability and sustainability of Agriculture in

Australia. It will also be the first time we bring the EXPO interstate to capture new audiences.

The Venue

The 2011 EXPO will be held at Swan Hill, where driving time is about 3.5 hours from Melbourne or

5.5 hours from Adelaide.

Swan Hill is a city in the north west of Victoria. It is located on the Murray Valley Highway, on the

south bank of the Murray River, downstream from the junction of the Loddon River. Today, Swan

Hill is a thriving, modern city. Swan Hill and its irrigated hinterland are home to 16,000 people. An

economic catchment stretching along the Murray Valley into the Mallee in Victoria and the Western

Riverina in New South Wales, is also serviced by the city. Though still focused on primary

production and supplying the needs of people and businesses in the area, Swan Hill has

broadened its activities in commerce, manufacturing and tourism. The city today combines the

relaxed lifestyle and community spirit of traditional rural life, with the facilities and conveniences of

a much larger urban centre.

The agricultural and horticultural sectors are at the backbone of the community, with the region

deriving its income from these industries and the businesses that service them. The Swan Hill

region has one of the most productive and diverse agriculture sectors in Australia. A major


attribute of the region is the ability to grow a variety of agricultural products - both dryland and

irrigation. The diversity of agricultural production is assisted by skilled farmers, a favourable

climate, good soil types, a plentiful supply of large tracts of cheap land and quality rail and road

infrastructure.

space is limited and will be located where lunch, morning & afternoon teas will be served.

secure your exhibition requirements, by the 17th of December 2010.

Trade exhibitions will be on display throughout the day from 09:00 to 16:30 with many opportunities

for delegates to view your exhibit and see the latest technologies in precision agriculture.

Premium Sponsor Seminars

All PREMIUM Sponsors will have an exclusive opportunity to present the LATEST

DEVELOPMENTS in PA equipment, products and services in 10 minute time blocks before lunch.

This will encourage delegates to talk further with PREMIUM sponsors during the long lunch break.

The program includes presentations from a wide range of speakers including farmers,

Promotion

The event will be widely publicised with both pre and post advertising and promotion. Pre event

advertising coverage will be in rural news print and selected industry magazines. All pre event

advertising will include the company logo of all PREMIUM sponsors.

The event will be widely promoted to SPAA members through e-News and Precision Ag News.

Event promotional flyers including all sponsor company logos will be sent to all PA Grower Group
