You may be five decades beyond your life's primeBut the boundaries of love does not know of age or timeThe warm glow of love in the heart never grows coldAnd for to fall in love one is never too oldAs much as the difference is between compassion and hateThe difference in feelings between love and lust is just as greatAnd though the ache of lost love sorrow does createThe marvellous gift of love we should all celebrateOne is never too old to love and never too young to dieThese are two facts of life and facts never lieAnd though the ageists with what I say may disagreeI can only see it as it appears to meThat love on it does not have a use by dateAnd you are never too old for to find your soul mate.

Love is a great gift that you better believeAnd if you cannot give love then love you cannot receiveThe one who has love is a person worth knowingI bet his or her friends in numbers keep on growingThe people who have love are caring and kindFor to spread love not make war they are that way inclinedOf far more people with love in them the World is in needTo peace and to harmony they plant the seedThe singers of love in their songs do singThe great gift of love is a marvellous thingSo lucky every man, woman girl and boyWho are blessed with love the fair sibling of joyA few of their type I feel privileged to knowAnd in my mind their stature as people does grow.

LOVE IS A GREAT GIFT

  Have you done your one good deed for the dayTo help somebody gone out of your wayHelped the old lady from you three doors downFor to do her shopping drove her into Town?

On the train home from work did you forfeit your seatTo the tired looking lady who had aching feet? She looked more tired and far older than youAnd to give her your seat seemed the right thing to do.

Have you walked the dog for the old bloke next doorAnd brought him his groceries from the super-store? Though he cannot afford to pay you money since on a pension he liveNow you can receive since you know how to give.

Have you for the day done your one good deedHelped some poor person who of help were in need? On the laws of karma you are one who believeAnd when you can give you will surely receive.

  For each of us there is a first and a last We look to the future and we yearn for the past In living we face a new challenge each day But life is what you make of it some are known to say.

For each of us a beginning and an end Though your enemy today in the future may be your friend And the one that you treasure now as your best mate May yet be the one you have reason to hate.

For each of us there are the good and bad days And to negative comments on us we would much prefer praise To like to be liked that is the human way And we earn the respect to us that others pay.

For each of us there is a final hooray And age on us show though we cover our gray And like the food products we eat on us a use by date For time on us it never does seem to wait.

  Don't judge people for what you'd like them to beWhen their physical presence is all we can seeSince to your sense of values they do not complyTheir right to a fair go of them don't deny.

You see them as people lacking in successAnd you judge them by their Suburb and their postal addressBut those who may seem as quite successful to youTo their higher selves may not even be true.

'Tis the sort of a person that you are that really does countAnd all other things to so little amountYour flawed heroes the wealthy people of the TownOn their climb to success have pushed all others down.

A spokes person for Big Brother your type are not rareAnd sad to say people like you everywhereSo many think like you in that you are not aloneYet the one without sin never does cast the stone.

  Compassion and kindness are born in the heartAnd in the making of a better Human World to live in they play a huge partAnd those who have such rare gifts are lucky indeedAnd of more of their type we are badly in needA beautiful person with a beautiful mindIs the he or the she who are compassionate and kindSuch people are beautiful people to knowThe seeds of good Karma for themselves they do sowTheir gift is with others they can empathizeAbove the ordinary they surely does riseOne can only admire them for their humanityThey lead in the fight against World povertyFor their future good Karma they have planted the seedAnd by good example they are known for to lead.

  As long as respect to others rights you do payAnd you've never harmed one in any wayWhy worry what some about you have to sayShow them a flowering garden and they see decay.

Not one of the successful as seen through their eyesBut these people one might say are far from wiseThey judge people for their money or lack of it one might sayThey are shallow people in their own small way.

As long as you believe in live and let liveAnd you are willing to forget and forgiveAnd to live as good and honest you do the best you canThen you are a successful woman or man.
