The majority of the bands mentioned

in my survey were pop rock bands, so

these are the types of bands I should

probably mention within my

magazine. The results of my survey show that the majority of people interested

in taking my survey were women,

so I should aim my magazine at

females.

These are some of the clothing

brands that were cast as

favourites in my survey; however

a lot of people also said that they didn’t have a favourite

brand.

DPS Masthead – it is going to be

called lips and lashes because the

interview is going to be about the

artists other hobbies other than music

– they involve fashion – i.e. make up

so lips/eyelashes make up the name.

• Cover Girl – New artist; for the cover image she is going to have bold red

lips to emphasise the ‘Lips’ in my masthead and she is going to have

massive eyelashes to emphasise the ‘Lashes’ in my masthead so the image

is really representing my magazine title.

• From my survey, my music genre is going to be based on rock/pop music

so im going to dress my model like how other artists of the genre would

dress; for example Hayley Williams. i.e. big hair, skinny jeans, slogan t-

shirts etc, bright colours.

Interview Ideas

• New Artist – how she got where she is today, how she got in to music, who and

what influences her to write music, what's he’s like as a person – questions to

get good answers to use as a pull quote. For example interesting/random

quotes to grab peoples attention.

Interview Style – same amount of pictures as there are words, so it like meets in the middle for people who prefer pictures rather than words and people who prefer to read rather than look at pictures. Face to Face interview, that way I can see the emotions of the cover artist in person, so I can express the points clearly in the DPS.

My Music Magazine.

• My music magazine is going to be about bands of the pop / rock genre. My magazine is aimed at young girls aged 14-18. My house style is going to consist of the colours red, black and yellow. It will have a mixture of serif and san serif font. I think that my magazine will appeal to my target audience because it will contain music that they take a high interest in and also I am considering to introduce some fashion into the magazine, so it will be a music and fashion magazine perhaps rolled into one. My magazine is going to e based on the style of magazine such as Kerrang and Q, just general information about bands, e.g. interviews, posters, reviews.
