Introduction

Indigo Sky Steel Fabrication L.L.C has been established to provide high quality sheet metal

products. The industrial setup at Jabel Ali Industrial Area 1, Dubai, has a production

capacity of 1000 Sq. Mtr. of GI Ducts & Fittings per day in a single shift operation (Approx.

150 Tons of Steel a month). The facility also has capacity to produce Pre Insulated

Ductwork in large quantities.

Indigo Sky is equipped with modern, state of the art, imported machineries viz; CNC

Plasma Cutting, Auto Fold, RAS Seam, Shearing, Press Brake etc. From United Kingdom,

USA, Singapore and China to produce high quality GI ductwork and fittings to meet the

specification set out in SMACNA and DW144 manufacturing standards.

The industrial setup is equipped with production facilities for other HVAC accessories viz.

Rectangular & Round Volume Control Dampers (VCD), Access Doors (AD), Non- Return

Dampers (NRD) etc. Indigo Sky is in the process of developing high quality customized

Sound Attenuators (SA) with design facility, Fire Dampers of different fire ratings, Cable

Trays and other Electrical Enclosures used in construction industry.

Apart from the above production facilities, Indigo Sky is fully equipped to fabricate

different thickness of aluminum cladding works for Ductwork, Pipe and Fittings. Further,

Stainless Steel (SS) Ducts and Mild Steel (MS) Ducts with pickling facility can also be

produced for different requirements in construction industry.

Indigo Sky team comprise of highly qualified and experienced engineers, supervisors,

technicians and fabricators capable of executing high profile projects viz. High Rise

Commercial & Residential Towers, Shopping Complexes and warehouses. The team has an

enormous experience of more than a decade within UAE and has been part of top

fabrication, engineering and construction companies with involvement in reputed projects

viz: Dubai Int'l Airport Teminal3, Meena Plaza, Churchill Tower, Damac Park Tower,

• Angled Dogleg offset of equal and unequal ends.

• All Kind of fittings viz. Round to Square, Offsets, Transition Pieces, Breeches Piece, Drop

Cheek Bend, Tees, Trouser Piece, etc can be easily produced with the help of cutting software

available with the Plasma Machine.

• All kind of longitudinal seam joint required for the assembly of above fittings viz. Large

Pittsburgh, Small Pittsburgh, Double Seam, snap Lock, grooved seam etc can be easily

fabricated with the facility available in the factory.

• All kind of transverse connectors’ viz. Slip & Drive, Slip on Flange, TDC, TDF and Angle

Frame can be easily assembled to the ductwork & Fittings.

• The above all Ductwork and Fitting can be fabricated with Pre-Insulated Sheets as well.

• Special Welding equipment viz Arc Welding, MIG Welding and Spot Welding availability

makes the options to produce SS Duct & MS duct of any desired thickness as per specifications

in the factory.

Indigo Sky specializes in manufacturing of all type of Volume Control Dampers (VCD) to

serve the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Industries.

The models of Volume Control Dampers are the standard choice for use in the majority of low,

medium and high pressure/ velocity commercial/industrial applications. They are high

quality dampers which are constructed to meet or exceed SMACNA and DW144

requirements.

The design features include sturdy flange frame with aerofoil blades and concealed linkage

for reduced pressure drop & air turbulence. The factory is also capable of producing

VCD’s as per customer’s customised requirement and specifications.

The standard frame of Volume Control Dampers are made of Hot Dipped Galvanized steel

confirming to ASTM A653/ A653 M, lock forming quality & Zinc coating Z275.

The frame gauge is selected in such a way that they meet the duct construction standard.

To ensure the optimum performance of the Volume Control Dampers, the frame are made out

of four flanged channel pieces, firmed by welding the corners at perfect 90°.

Round VCD Casings are grooved both side in order to have proper installation and firm grip

with the flexible.

Blades - Double skin & Aero foiled made up of galvanized steel Sheet. Both parallel &

opposite blade operation.

Linkage - Concealed type totally enclosed within the frame and out of the air stream.

Bearings - ½” (13mm) Ø, Closed Type Brass Material

Drive Shaft - ½” (13mm) Ø, Rigid MS Shaft.

Access Doors

DOOR MATERIAL: Hot dipped Galvanized Steel confirming to ASTM A 653/A 653M, Lock

forming Quality & Zinc Coating Z275. The gauge selection of the door is based on SMACNA

as specified above in the specification Table. The inside of the door is packed with fiber glass

insulation. ( See Details)

DOOR FRAME MATERIAL: Hot dipped Galvanized Steel

confirming to ASTM A 653/A 653M, Lock forming Quality &

ZincCoating Z275. The gauge selection of the door is based on

SMACNA as specified above in the specification Table.

CAM LOCK: Hot rolled 1.00 – 1.20 mm thick Steel sheet with

good thumb grip Area, smooth edges & riveted for better control.

HANDLE: Electroplated steel, riveted at the centre of the door

for easy insertion And dismantle.

List Of Machineries

All machineries required for the production of GI Duct and related material has been procured from

various places viz Singapore, USA, Germany, UK and China. These are equipped with latest

manufacturing technology software and hardware’s (Dies, Jigs, Fixtures etc.) giving and edge in faster

and accurate production.

Alternate machine is procured for each and every machine in order to overcome the breakdown.

Quality Control

All Incoming raw material is passed through QC Process before commencing the production.

Inspection method for these have been set out as per the standards and specification. In Process

quality check is been carried out for each product and is recorded as per the quality management

systems. Final inspection for the product is carried out as per sample space, CTQ’s (Critical to Quality)

pre-defined and recorded as per QMS.

Each Product is tagged properly with a unique sticker upon which Project, Part Number, Area etc. is

mentioned for the proper identification and traceability.

VENTILATION DAMPERS AND ACTUATORS

FLEXIBLE DUCTS

• Round single-plane dampers with diameters from 100 to 630 mm, multi-plane models from 400 to 1250 mm.

• Rectangular, multi-blade aluminium and steel.

• Regulating, with tightness of class 4, sliding, iris dampers.

• VAV regulators, with or without insulation,

class 4 and D airtightness.

• Non-insulated or insulated, 25 or 50 mm thick wool.

• Aluminium, vinyl, PVC and hygienic with the

bactericidal layer.

• Fire and temperature tested for +150 and 250 oC –

classes M1 and M0.

• Depending on the type, diameters range between

50 and 800 mm.

TAPES AND NAILS FOR INSULATIONS

• Welding nails, nails weldable through insulation, self-

adhesive and perforated nails.

• Nail dimensions: 25 - 150 mm.

• Aluminium tapes, metallised tapes, repair and butyl tapes.

• Tape thicknesses from 30 to 50 microns, temperature

resistances: 80, 250 and 350˚C.

• Widths: 50, 75 and 100 mm – coil of 50 and 10

metres, also with the square and diamond-shaped

reinforcement.

ACCESS DOORS, FILTERS AND AUXILIARY ELEMENTS

• Access doors for rectangular ducts: dimensions from

200x100 mm to 600x500 mm.

• Thermally insulated dampers, also made of stainless

steel and aluminium sheet.

• Filter boxes and filters - classes from EU3 to EU7.

FIRE AND SMOKE DAMPERS

• Fire resistance classes: EIS60, EIS90 and EIS120.
