The Angel Tree ministry is a joint effort between the Catholic Mother's Community and the St. Vincent de Paul Society. The Knights of Columbus wish to recognize the generosity of the people of Our Lady of the Lake in the recent food drive. In spite of church attendance limited to 25%, parishioners responded to the call to feed families in Rockwall County with an estimated 1,000 bags of food. Followers of Christ brought pickup truck and SUV loads of food, diapers, and paper supplies. One person donated 22 canned hams!

The Knights also thank Confirmation student volunteers and all who manned the trucks during the 15 Masses of the 3 week food drive. In addition, $1,825 in cash was given to help those who desperately lack so basic a human need. May God bless all who gave, practicing the Corporal Work of Mercy of feeding the hungry.

FAITH DIRECT: Our Lady of the Lake Parish is tremendously grateful to our parishioners that have signed up for Faith Direct or have taken their valuable time to mail in your donations. The Finance Council is encouraging our parishioners to sign up for Faith Direct for their parish giving. Tamales for Seminarians The Knights of Columbus will sell tamales after all Saturday and Sunday Masses in December. Find us outside the main entrance of the church. The

tamales are prepared by a factory kitchen in Irving. Available fillings are pork, beef, chicken, and cheese. Tamales are packaged by half a dozen and are sold for $5 each.

Proceeds are for the support of two new seminarians: Maximiliano Garcia and Diego Castro. Please pray for them in their formation to serve Christ and His Church.
