PRAJNYA needs your help
…and this is why
In four years, you’ve enabled:
The Prajnya 16 Days Campaign against Gender Violence, 2008-2010
The Prajnya Intercollegiate Quiz on Women in South Asia, 2008-2011
Oral history interviews The Prajnya Archives and the Rainmakers exhibition Short research projects including a directory of

We approach 2012-13 with a budget of Rs. 800,000/-.
This covers the cost of all our research, public education and network building activities and a
few administrative costs which we now must take care of ourselves.
Take a look a what we hope to do in the coming year.

Prajnya Resource Centre on Women in Politics and Policy We think it imperative to record and preserve the
experiences of women in the public sphere, and encourage documentation of their work.
Systematic cataloguing and storage of the oral history recordings and transcripts we have.
As the number of recordings mounts, we need the resources to back-up, store, transcribe and edit our interviews.
Enriching the collection of Prajnya Archives. Calls for photos and ‘collection camps’ at different
locations.

Education for Peace Initiative
Without sufficient resources, we’ve written and presented papers and articles, organized small programmes but want to start our long-term activities in 2012-13, with no further delay.
School workshops on “Teaching Peace.” Research towards a series of storybooks with a peace theme.
Administrative Costs
So far, we’ve worked with borrowed space, volunteers, underwritten and donated materials.
Any money we raised has gone into research and programmes.
But, it’s time we started paying our way a little.
You can help us
By suggesting potential donors. By conceptualizing fundraising activities for us. By spreading the word about our work. By donating.
