There were a total of 522 “Bus Conduct Reports” filed by bus drivers and building staff andparents during the 03-04 school year. The breakdowns are as follows:

As a result of the above “Bus Conduct Reports” the transportation department levied a total of214 “suspension of riding privileges”. The length and total of suspensions are broken-down asfollows:

Building Test Result Analysis

Achievement Level Tests• 80 sophomores completed the 2-hour review and took their respective ALT's. 49

students took language arts, 15 students took reading, and 16 students took the

math test. This was conducted on Saturday, May 29, 2004.• 48 of these 80 students passed the ALT they took. (60%)

• Of the 48 who passed, 37 passed their third and final test.

• Of those that did not pass, 17 students increased their score and 4 stayed thesame.

• In the Class of 2006, 123 students need to pass at least 1 ALT. 74 of these are

non-IEP students and 49 are IEP students. Of the non-IEP students, 39 need topass one test, 24 need to pass two tests, and 10 need to pass all three tests.

• Compared to the previous year, non-IEP students: The class of 2005 had 102

students needing to pass at least one test, Class of 2006 will have 74 studentsneeding to pass at least one test.

• Class of 2004 had 42 students needing to pass at least one test as incoming

seniors.

• Class of 2005 will have 17 students needing to pass at least one test.

with students on water quality monitoring at Prairie Creek.

Sharon Bender Volunteer Service Award for Teaching from Governor Vilsack for water

quality monitoring.

Special Education

Special Olympics: CJ Strausser won a gold medal at Special Olympics for Bocci Ball.Jeff Sires, Nate Gilson, and Brandon Campbell will be Super Seniors during the 04-05

school year.

Andy Terrell earned a Big Brother, Big Sister award for his volunteer work with anelementary student at Crest.

Initiatives: Reading strategy implementation training, co-teaching collaboration

between math and special education.

Teachers of Mathematics.

Industrial Technology

New program--Home Construction and Intro to Technology for all incoming 9th grade

students.Student Awards--SkillsUSA-VICA: Jeff Cooling placed 1st at State and will compete at

Nationals in June.

Special Project--Hawks All Over Campus ProjectElectric Car--1st place at Forest City Competition.

Family and Consumer ScienceLinda Sadler received a $500 grant from the Midwest Dairy Council and will speak at

the Iowa Family and Consumer Science Conference in Ames on July 27.

Kay Pundt was the recipient of a Governor's Award for Outstanding Iowa Counselor
