Building on an already comprehensive specification, the VX impresses with

creature comforts like premium leather interior and amber LED illumination

highlighting key contour lines. Equally this all-rounder also features Blind

Spot Monitor (BSM), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RTCA) and a choice of engines,

with both the powerful 4.0L V6 petrol and the real world fuel efficiency of

Toyota’s new 2.8L turbo diesel available.

The new 6-speed automatic transmission in all Prado diesel

models also features shift control and a sequential

manual mode. With all-wheel drive, the driver can access

high and low ratios through a convenient rotary switch

The Prado VX’s 4 spoke leather steering wheel houses

EXTERIOR - Bold and stylish in equal measure Land Cruiser Prado is instantly recognisable thanks to the signature 5 pillar chrome

front grille. Land Cruiser design DNA is evident everywhere; with distinctive body

contour lines and logo engraved head and tail lights; this go-anywhere 4WD enjoys

comfortable approach and departure angles for whatever lies ahead.

Black roof rails and side steps feature on all grades, while VX and VX Limited sport

18” dual ‘V’ spoke design alloy wheels. VX and VX Limited grades also feature

headlights with LED low beams, front fog lights and all grades receive Daytime

Running Lights (DRL).

The rear bumper features an integrated step. An upper spoiler and chrome plated

door garnish frame a top-hinged glass tailgate hatch which gives access to the

vehicle’s load space even in confined spaces.

are standard across the range. Three-zone climate control air conditioning with

controls are available across the range.

The Satellite Navigation system that is standard in all models arrives with a SUNA

Traffic Avoidance System that can provide alternative route information to keep

you moving during peak commuting times (traffic information not available for

all regions).

Rear seat passengers in the VX Limited will enjoy superb in-car entertainment

with the 9” ceiling mounted adjustable display, Blu-ray player and powerful,

14 speaker 5.1 channel surround sound system. There are even two wireless rear

seat headphones that allow for a different audio track to be played to rear seat

passengers, meaning front seat passengers can enjoy music or a radio channel

while those in the second and third rows can watch a Blu-ray DVD.

Both VX and VX Limited models feature

heated driver and front passenger seats.

USB and AUX connections are conveniently placed

alongside the driver and front passenger in the

as well as Hill-start Assist Control (HAC)

Toyota’s attention to detail extends to the conveniently located wheel changing kit, stored within a panel in the

rear cargo door. The rear door won’t close on you, even if you’re parked on an unfavourable grade, thanks to this

lockable strut, keeping the door open so you can load up easily. A top hinged glass tailgate hatch gives access

to the vehicle’s load space even in tight spaces where full tailgate opening may be restricted.

Performance and off-road technology for all seasons

The comprehensive Prado range really does feature something for every driver,

starting with a choice of 2 engines. The GX, VX Diesel and VX Limited variants

all feature a new powerful and efficient turbo-charged common rail direct injection

2.8L diesel, while the VX petrol has a powerful 4.0L V6 engine with Dual Variable

Valve Timing-intelligent (VVT-i) and Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI).

Clever technology, like the Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS) is

available in VX and VX Limited models. This system optimally adjusts the front

and rear stabiliser bars to suppress body roll on-road.

Added features like Hill-start Assist Control (HAC), Downhill Assist Control (DAC)

and Active Traction Control (A-TRC) provide assurance during an off-road adventure.

DAC is designed to keep the vehicle at a low and constant speed and to maintain

control during a steep descent. VX Limited has CRAWL control that acts as an

‘off road cruise control’ and automatically applies additional power or braking to

maintain a very low speed - allowing the driver to concentrate fully on steering

through tricky terrain.

The five mode Multi-Terrain Select (MTS) in the VX Limited gives you even more

power over the off-road, the inclination monitor tells you precisely how far you

can lean the vehicle without fear of tipping it over. VX and VX Limited have a

Multi-Terrain Monitor which provides a view of the terrain around the vehicle

so when you are off-road you can be sure of where you’re driving.

All Prado models have fulltime all-wheel drive. This gives them capability on the smooth roads

of an urban precinct, slippery surfaces or rough ground that stops cars in their tracks.

The 5-star ANCAP rated Land Cruiser Prado range is built tough and

features comprehensive levels of safety equipment that will give you

peace of mind wherever you go.

Every Prado also has 7 airbags fitted, including front airbags for the

driver and front passenger seats and a driver’s knee airbag. In addition,

the driver and front passenger seats have side airbags, and roll sensing

curtain shield airbags provide side protection throughout the cabin,

including the 3rd row of seats.

Safety and convenience are further enhanced with Dynamic Radar Cruise

Control (DRCC). This technology is available in Prado VX Limited and

helps to maintain a safe following distance on the open road, slowing the

vehicle if necessary and then returning it to your preferred speed when

the road ahead clears.

The VX Limited features a sophisticated Pre-Crash Safety system (PCS)

which can help reduce collision damage and injury. The PCS system

features a radar sensor that detects obstacles in front of the Prado.

Using numerous sensors, the pre-crash system computer helps determine

in advance whether an unavoidable collision is about to occur.

The Pre-Crash Safety system alerts the driver and instantaneously reacts

by retracting the front seatbelts and arming the Pre-crash Brake Assist

(BA) system to improve braking performance. In an extreme situation

the system could even apply the brakes even if you haven’t touched

the brake pedal.

Every passenger can feel safe and assured with a cocooning comprehensive airbag package.

Well-located ISOFIX rear seating fixing points enable child seating to be more easily attached.

Land Cruiser Prado has achieved 5-stars in the ANCAP safety test.

Be seen sooner. Highly visible Daytime Running Lights (DRL) are standard on all models.

All models feature Downhill Assist Control (DAC) to keep decents under control. There’s also a centre diff lock switch

that ensures all wheels work together.

Removal of the rear mounted spare wheel has created better overall visibility to make manoeuvrability easier and driving safer. All models also have rear parking sensor guidance and a reversing camera.

Front seat pretensioners instantly tighten the seat belts at the time of a collision to help enhance occupant restraint performance.

The force limiter function loosens the seat belts while maintaining the load to help mitigate the impact to the chest regions

of the front seat occupants.

All Prado models have Hill-start Assist Control (HAC) that ensures smooth starts uphill and prevents the vehicle from rolling backwards.

Safer and secure

The VX and VX Limited’s safety features include a Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) that alerts the driver to vehicles in adjacent lanes, indicating their presence with lighted symbols in each exterior mirror. Additionally Rear

Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) uses radar when reversing to detect cross-traffic that may intersect your vehicles pathway. RCTA sounds

a warning and also flashes the outer lighted symbols.

Prado GX has rear parking sensors while VX and VX Limited have front sensors as well. These make parking a breeze and with the help of

a reversing camera display on the 7” touchscreen negotiating urban driveways and parking spaces is made a lot safer.

Bull bar - Alloy. Fabricated from a strong but relatively light aluminium alloy, the polished Forge alloy bull bars combine

good looks with excellent protection.

Make Prado your own

Floor mats - Black rubber. Custom moulded for a perfect fit, these rubber mats will protect the floor of your Prado from dirt

and mud. Simply remove and hose off to keep clean. The driver’s floor mat has 2 clip retainers to ensure

it remains securely in place. Rear mats are also available (sold separately).

Bonnet protector - Clear acrylic. Protect the front of your bonnet from road debris with an acrylic bonnet protector. Includes

stainless steel clips and hardware to ensure it stays securely attached. Available in clear, or tinted finish.

Headlight covers - Clear acrylic. Prevent damage to your headlights from road debris with these acrylic Headlight

Protectors. They are resistant to cracking and UV and are easy to keep clean. Secured with a stainless steel clip and fastener.
