Practicum Final Report

The final report from my practicum supervisor summarizes how I have met all 8 standards outlined by the BC College of Teachers. For standard 5 my supervisor states that I am very well organized and always well prepared for each lesson. I have appropriate pacing to my lessons and ensure that the students understand the expectations and concepts being taught. I use fair, sound assessment practices and manage the students effectively.

Teaching a wide variety of subjects in my final practicum to many different groups of students all over the school was a great learning experience. It required extensive advance planning on my behalf as I was often running from one side of the school to the other between periods. Also because I had so many different groups of students I had to maintain tight classroom management and organized assessment practices to ensure order and a positive learning environment.

The learning I took away from my final practicum will stay with me through out my teaching career. The importance of effective organization planning and

management techniques will always be present in any teaching situation.
