BEWARE: DANGERS OF SELF-WORSHIP
Directions: Match the description with the appropriate picture. These are descriptions of actions or attitudes you can do that don’t bring glory to God. They often bring glory to yourself and are dangerous because they are sin.
Glorying
1. “Let us build us a city and a tower . . . And let us make us a name.” (Genesis 11:4) SIN: SELF-GLORY
2. “And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, . . . [Being] backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents.” (Romans 1:28, 30) SIN: REFUSE TO ACKNOWLEDGE GOD AND THOSE HE’S PLACED IN AUTHORITY OVER YOU
3. “Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory [self-pride]; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.” (Philippians 2:3) SIN: CONCEIT AND SELFISHNESS
4. “If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.” (Galatians 5:25-26) SIN: ENVYING
5. “Talk no more exceeding proudly; let not arrogan-cy come out of your mouth.“ (1 Samuel 2:3a) SIN: PRIDE OR BOASTING

DR. GOTCHAWELLI’S MIRACLE MEASURES
Lilly’s Lyrical Lesson
Sing thee when the word the appears before a vowel or silent h sound. Sing thuh when it appears before a consonant. Example: thuh king, thee apple, thuh poochie lip disease.
Music is sometimes written with a six-count time signature.
The upper number tells you there are six counts in each measure.
The lower number tells you what kind of note gets one count. Here the number 8 stands for an eighth note, and so each eighth note gets one count.
Complete each measure by drawing the correct number of notes that receive one count.
78
Directions: Complete the puzzle using the clues below. Use your Bibles for help. The answers will be names of Bible people (or groups of people). Some of these people glorified God in their words, attitudes, or actions. Some of these people chose only to glorify themselves. Others were brought low by God so that they might learn to bring Him glory.

MONTH Two • WEEK 4BIBLE PEOPLE: SOME BROUGHT
GLORY & SOME DID NOT
DOWN1. Because of the pride of this king in Babylon, God
brought him very low. He was like a wild animal eating grass and living in the wilderness. After he was humbled, this king repented and chose to recognize that God was everything and he was nothing without Him. (See Daniel 4:30-37.)
2. This group of people were overly proud, so much so that it lead to their downfall. God held their whole nation accountable for their sin of pride. (See Isaiah 16:6.)
3. This king had a problem with pride. Even after God miraculously
healed him, he failed to be grateful. God brought him to a point of true humility, but only after Isaiah gave the king a serious message from God. (See 2 Chronicles 32:25-26.)
ACROSS3. This woman prayed earnestly for a child. When God gave her a son, she dedicated him back to the Lord. She later prayed a sweet prayer of rejoicing for all of God’s goodness to her. (See 1 Samuel 2:1.)
4. God brought honor to Himself when He destroyed this vast army of Pharaoh’s. (See Exodus 14:17-18.)
5. This writer of Psalms often boasted in his Lord. Because of his bringing glory to God, others were encouraged (and still are) by this Psalmists words. (See Psalm 34:2.)
6. This mother of Jesus spoke wonderful words of praise to God for His greatness, His mercy, and His power. (See Luke 1:46; 49-52.)
