The technology for local hardening of the working surfaces of tools and machine parts and forming the layers of new nanocrystalline materials. The technology is based on the idea of cyclic heating\cooling of local surface regions in a conducting medium of alloying elements, and simultaneous electromagnetic treatment of these regions..
