INDUSTRIAL PROFILE

The Presston is a small scale industry engaged in manufacturing of bathrooms andkitchen accessories by using raw materials, stainless steel, and alluminium alloy.

The government has declared a land to develop an industry to large scale and to

support the growth of the industry by reducing the tax and licensing and providing a

land in industrial area.

The PEC is one of the small scale industry, and it is concerned by a sister concern of

CUICINA products for exporting or developing a business in to large sector. The PEC as a modern technology in a plant layout, storerooms, management and up to

the goods ready to dispatch.

Hence the industry is the small scale, competitors and competition will be more in

small scale industry and large scale industry. It has less scope of widening a market.

There are many industries which are ruled out and which are engaged in

manufacturing products. It is engaged in manufacturing of bathroom accessories andkitchen accessories and wardrobes are produced by the private companies and in co-

operative sector.

Presston Engineering Corporation was started on 04/07/1996 as a partnership firmcomprising of two partners.

Mr. H Poornachandra Kedilaya with 50% share holding is the first partner (herein afterreferred to as partner 1).

Mr. H. Poornachandra Kedilaya passed out his B.E (Mechanical) as a college topper withdistinction from Bangalore institute of technology (Bangalore University) in the year 1993.

Later, he worked in reputed firms like m/s SPIC madras and M/S.john Brown Engineering(India) private limited.

And in Bangalore for two years worked as a piping design and procurement Engineerwhere he gained rich experience in the technocommercial aspects.

Mr. Giridhar Roa Y., with 50%share holding is the second partner (hare in after referred to

as partner 2). Mr.Giridhar Roa Y., after completing his B.E (industrial production in maniple institute of

technology, by securing 4th rank for his university (Mangalore University). Went on to doM.Tech. In maniple institute of technology.

After his M.Tech, he served in esteemed companies like M/S Alfred Herbert (India) andM/s Shelton as a production and maintenance engineer where he gained technical acumenin these areas.

Presston Engineering Corporation was started as a small-scale industry making up the

business of kitchen, bathroom, and wardrobe accessories in AISI304 stainless steelincluding sheet metal components.

Presston Engineering Corporation is a partnership firm and a small scale industry.

It was established in the year 1996

It is a manufacture of modular storage systems and engineering goods.

Our aims are to achieve total customer satisfaction by supplying production at right qualityquantity. We will strive to enhance total customer satisfaction.

purchase order .stores refers to a company outlet. These usually include household materials,

electrical appliances and many other types of accessories.Stores operation refers to a function of the stores and the various activities the store carries on

the day to day basis in cleaning welding if any, and receiving the goods and distributing the

goods for the shoppers for the sales and promotion.

A stores main objective is to maximize the sale in order to reach the target and increase the

profit.

The raw materials and the goods which are brought in to production are stored in the stores

Design DepartmentDesign is the main process in the organization as the raw materials brought into the

CONCLUSION

The PEC Company is purely private. The company is following all the managerial function

such as planning, controlling, staffing, organizing etc. the company is following area

strategies to attract the customer and retain them. From the detailed study the company trade

flow in sheet Metal is larger than other manufacturing products in the company hence it is themajor criteria for the success of any organization.To conclude the study on PEC Company, the

experience I got from internship study was really Fruitful to explore new product line, people,

strategies, work place, organizational culture, Polices and more distinctively the style of

managing the companys profile.

I believe that the experience I had in my internship training at the PEC will surely enrich my

knowledge on individual practicalities and my MBA carrier with a place of learningexperience.
