• The Pastoral Council adopts a uni-council structure with three main components (Parish Priest representing the Shepherd (Bishop), Pamayanan Leaders as the Flock, and Parish Ministries comprising the Pastoral Team as Shepherding).

• Their term of office is three (3) years, renewable for another term

• This follows the regular three-year term of Parish Priests.

Age Limit of Tenured PPC Leaders

• Age limit for tenured PPC leaders is 75 years old. For clarification, the diocesan policy on the EMHC and LCM applies here.

• WAIT! This does not mean that people who are beyond 75 years old cannot serve; it is just that they are relieved of leadership duties in the Parish Pastoral Council.

• The process of selection for PPC Leaders consists of three phases.

Synchronized Tenure of PPC Leaders

• The synchronized tenure of PPC leaders takes effect on June 2016 and ends on May 2019, completing the 3-year tenure.• Current PPC Officers will be

stewarding the PPC until May 2016, when another set of officers will be appointed.

Synchronized Tenure of PPC Leaders

• Parish Priests (in their second term) have the option to appoint new set of PPC leaders prior to the timeline for the nomination and selection process. However, the synchronized tenure of service still applies to them.
