• Parking
Community General Has gone into contract for purchase of a
dilapidated building adjacent to Bethany Medical. The building will
be destroyed and removed in order to construct parking lot that will
accommodate all Community general staff and overflow of patients
from Community General’s community.
This parking Lot will be gifted to Bethany Medical Center after
Community General Vacates to their New facility in four years.
Work & Patient Areas
The Emergency room currently has an ascendant corridor that has been blocked off. This will be
revamped in order to provide for 15 more bays for patients and two more rooms for physicians and
staff personnel. The waiting room is being redesigned to provide for fifty more chairs.
All Nursing Areas will add two more bays
The old Mental Health Unit will be opened to accommodate inpatient overflow.
All specialty units will have three waiting areas, one of which will be redone into patient bay that will
hold five beds.
Work Share DutiesSchedule & Duties Addressed
• Bethany MC
Clinical Nurse Managers assign
Duties to all CGH support unit staff
& nurses.
CGH supervisors will report to BMC
Unit Clinical Nurse Mangers to
coordinate staff supervision of their
staff and joint duties.
Per-diem staff will be restricted in
an effort to accommodate CGH
staff.
• Community GH
Supervisors provide master list to
BMC Clinical Nurse Managers.
CGH Staff up for retirement in next
5 years have been given buyout by
CGH.
Administrators will continue to
oversee their staff.
All employees will sign a flextime
waiver-based on need.
Community General’s Transition to Bethany will balance out cost. More
patients will produce more revenue to cover payroll. Change provides for a
speculative loss of 100 patients daily and early retirement buyout of
CGH employees.
