A really great video marketing tool for your YouTube channel is to

use something called an “End Card” or sometimes called an “End

Slate“.

Lon covers what that is, why it’s useful, and gives some top tips

for making your own and using it in your Camtasia videos that you

PowerPoint is a wonderful tool for creating screencast content!

We certainly use it a lot and there are other things we use it for

that are pretty handy.

For example: To whip out really quick and simple custom

graphics using the brain-dead easy formatting tools right in the

program.

This quick tutorial might open your eyes as to what you can do

and several of our students have actually surprised themselves

that they were able to replicate it almost instantly!

At first blush, this may seem like an irrelevant little exercise but…

Here’s the punchline:

Have you ever heard the old saying, “You don’t know…what you

don’t know” – meaning that if you don’t even know something is

possible, how can you know how to do it?

Well. That’s where having a pro who does know, walk you through

things to increase your skill set can be pretty handy. Just sayin’…:

Speaking of PowerPoint…here’s the thing:

While it certainly is a capable presentation tool, it also gets a

rather bad rap when used in the wrong hands for creating

REALLY bad slides (lovingly called: “Death By PowerPoint”).

The templates included in PowerPoint can be used with some

simple good design tweaks, but a really handy and time-saving

option is to hook up with a resource of professional designers who

do the work for you. We’ve vetted them all and this is hands down

There are LOTS of handy-dandy little features in Camtasia that

might seem “obscure” until you know about them…

Here’s a quick one for ya…How to change the default background

color in a Camtasia Project.

This little move can quickly and easily make a nice difference in

your overall “look & feel” and design.

It also can eliminate the need to have a Rectangle callout shape

or Simple Title Clip as a background on the timeline which

reduces the number of tracks and thus, the complexity of your

timeline during editing.

Sometimes it’s the little things that add up to make a difference.

Direct-to-camera video content is extremely valuable to marketers!

You might find this an odd statement to be included in a report

about screencasts where our computer monitor or presentation

software is on-camera…not us.

Here’s the fact of the matter: When it comes to establishing a

rapport with your viewers, it’s really tough to beat the personal

connection that gets make when they see YOU!

A lot of folks have a fear that this is overly complex or technical.

Here’s the scoop: Brain surgery is complex…flying a 747 is

technical. In this excellent video, the master videographer Joey

Xoto does a beautiful job of demonstrating how simple it actually

is to look like a PRO on-camera.

Remember: Camtasia is the easy-to-use editing “glue” that

combines screen capture video, slide video, and a BIG conversion
