Survey Results

Surety Systems developed the 2014 Kronos Technology Survey to allow

Kronos customers to compare their experience and thoughts to others

within the large Kronos Community. Participants this year more than

tripled over last year with over 480 Kronos experienced users and leaders

participating. This survey aims to serve as a benchmark for the Kronos

community as a whole. Topics range from level of satisfaction to

how companies are utilizing the Kronos product. Survey results

are presented graphically in summary form. Data was

collected during a four week period in May/June when

it was open to all participants through our website,

www.suretysystems.com. We also encouraged

participation with email invitations.

Over 480 individuals participated in this survey. All participants live and work in the United States

for companies who currently utilize the Kronos product.

Observations by Surety Systems

• Kronos survey participants provide input with broad representation and experience. While

over 67% of this year’s survey participants have over 5 years of experience with the Kronos

product they also represent 12 industries, 5 Kronos versions, and all of Kronos functionalities.

• Kronos customers are varied in ERP systems they use. While Lawson leads the ERP systems

used by survey respondents’ companies (21.3%) followed by Oracle (16.1%) and SAP (11.9%), no

one ERP clearly dominates. One interesting observation is the 27.7% of participants do not know

the ERP system they use.

• Version 6 is still dominate, but upgrades to Version 7 have started. 79.4% of participants

report that they are currently using versions 6 through 6.3 while 13.7% are on version 7

(released June 2013). Kronos version 5 (released March 2004) is still currently run by 7% of

participants.

• Customers are Upgrading. Over 62% of Kronos customers participating in the survey state that

their organization is currently upgrading or will upgrade their version of Kronos. Only 2.2% state

they will be moving off Kronos.

• Customers are satisfied with the Kronos product offering. Over 71% of participants rate their

satisfaction with Kronos at a 7 or better on scale of 1-10. In addition, only 8.8% rated their

satisfaction at a 4 or lower.

• Kronos customers are not planning to attend KronosWorks 2014 in large numbers. 60.3% of

survey participants state will not be attending KronosWorks 2014 in November and only 6.3%

stated firmly that they will attend.
