Open PowerPoint. Click on LAYOUT and select BLANK.

Go to Google Maps and locate Wiley Park.Go back to PowerPoint window. Click INSERT – then SCREENSHOT.A small window will appear showing all your open windows. Select the Google Map image.

Drag corner of image and make smaller to fit on slide. (OR Click FORMAT – type 20cm in the WIDTH field)Select FILE – SAVE AS to open the save window. Select your USB dirve and then type the filename . Press SAVE .

Click on image so you can see the circles on the border of the graphic

Then select FORMAT from the toolbar – the ribbon will change and show new icons.

Select CROP and you will see black lines appear on the border of the graphic.

Now drag the black lines to cover the parts of the graphic you do want to see so only the part of the map you require is shown.

Insert a down arrow to show where Wiley Park GHS is located.

Enlarge the arrow and right click on the arrow to EDIT TEXT.

Type in SCHOOL.

You can format the text – by highlighting the text box and selecting an appropriate font style, size and colour.

Highlight both the map and the arrow .

Select FORMAT Picture Tools and then GROUP.

This will combine the arrow and map into one graphic.

Again click once on the graphic and the select FORMAT Picture Tools from the toolbar.

Browse through the PICTURE STYLES shown as frames on the ribbon. Select one that you like and watch how the image changes.
