A Tour of Calisto Encinal´s Mi casa es su casa
Join Calisto Encinal for a tour of his immersive, interactive Mexican village. Created for first-year American university students, the space provides a place for role-playing, class meetings and self-correcting activities. Attendees will learn more about this exciting use of virtual worlds for education and explore the potential of a rich environment for creating a truly interactive classroom.
Calisto Encinal/James T. Abraham teaches Spanish at Glendale Community College in Glendale, Arizona. He has been working in Second Life for four years. His project, Mi casa es su casa, won the SLPro Content Creators challenge last spring. The project includes a house, school, bakery, hotel, pharmacy, cathedral among its locations.
