A new dimension in workplace efficiency Dräger Medical’s ceiling supply unit Forta delivers adegree of versatility that can enhance workplace effi-ciency to support clinical processes in operating rooms.By getting devices and media supplies off the floor andpositioned directly at the acute point of care they sup-port improved patient access, optimized working condi-tions and a quicker clean-up. For added safety, minimalhose and cable lengths between supply outlets anddevices create a tidy workspace, so users don’t have toworry about tripping over lines or causing unintendeddisconnections.

Virtually unlimited positioning Forta arm profiles are available in the lengths of 500,750, 1000 and a unique 1250 mm. These can be freelycombined, enabling an all encompassing reach of 6 mfor a complete double-arm system. Arms and column fea-ture full 330° rotation and ultrafine stop settings. Thestandard lift capa bility enables vertical, effortless, ergo -nomic device positioning.

Ouruniversal equip ment holder has become a worldwidestandard for efficient integration of entire groupings ofdevices. The MovaCart lift so lution conveniently addsmobility into the mix and allows positioning of your MIS equipment to an ergonomic working height. Theunique MediaDocking™ option offers a further level ofcomfort as it automatically connects all media in onequick-connect step, eliminating the time-consumingmanual connection of hoses, cabling and power supplies. Either traditional docking or innovative MediaDocking™, both versions contain the well-provensafety system with magnetic/magnetic optoelectroniccoupling control ensuring safe connection of the dockedequipment.

(*) The standard DualBrake plus™ combines the advantages of both pneumatic and friction brakes. The pneumatic capability prevents unintentional movement or disconnection of life supporting systems. In the event of a compressed air system failure, many pneumatic systems are “locked” into position and require compressed air to release their brakes. In case ofan emergency, this could cost precious time when attempting to move patients tosafety. The standard DualBrake plus™ system holds position until the user chooses to release thepneumatic brake. At this point, the friction brake takes over, allowing quick but controlled, drift-free repositioning of equipment as required.Contamination! – A thing of the pastCertain National Standards demand compressed air system integrity when used for the control/retraction function of medical gas pendants. The DualBrake plus™ system meets this requirement, by preventing gas used for brake control from flowing into the patient supply, thus avoiding potential contamination.
