Alt Urgell•It is a region of
Catalonia which is situated in the
Pyrenees, it is part of the province of
Lleida. •The river Segre flows across the
region. •The region’s
climate is quite changing, however the Mediterranean climate prevails.

Oliana is a village. It is situated in the southern part of the Alt Urgell.
- The village is located on the left side of the Segre river.- Oliana is the second most populated area in the Alt Urgell. - The village is well known for the water reservoir nearby that was named after the village.

Sant Jordi School
The school has 138 pupils and 15 teachers. In the school there are pupils from the age of 3 to 11.

• Visit to Guissona (Iesso): we visited the archaeological park and the Museum Eduard Camps.
The village of Guissona is full of remains of the ancient Roman city of Iesso, which was founded around the year 115 B.C. Iesso means water.

LESBIA’S STORY
We saw a skeleton.
From its characteristics it was deduced that it was the skeleton of a young girl, Lesbia.
We watched a video explaining what could have happened when she died.
And we also saw a letter her mother wrote for her.
