Steve  McCurry  was  born  on  April  23rd,  1950,  making  him  64  years  old.    Steve  McCurry  has  been  one  of  the  most  famous  and  iconic  photographers  round  the  world.  He  is  well  known  for  his  photos  that  are  used  fro  the  covers  of  Time  Magazine  and  for  National  Geographic.  Steve  McCurry  studied  at  Pennsylvania  State  University.  Steve  McCurry,  originally,  wanted  to  be  a  documentary  filmmaker.  Steve  McCurry  worked  at  his  college’s  newspaper  where  he  discovered  his  passion  for  photography.  Steve  McCurry  is  well  known  for  his  amazing  travels  and  his  exotic  pictures  of  people.  He  says  that  India  is  the  country  that  has  stolen  his  heart  the  most  because  of  it’s  rich  culture  and  diverse  religions.

Steve  McCurry  has  learned  over  his  years  of  experience  what  light  to  use  in  order  to  create  a  good  picture,  he  tries  never  to  stage  his  photos  and  have  the  subjects  unaware  of  his  photos  of  them.  According  to  Steve  McCurry’s  blog,  he  is  currently  residing  in  Afghanistan  where  he  is  taking  pictures  of  people  with  their  beautiful  eyes  and  beautiful  faces.  He  is  also  traveling  to  Tibet  and  India  where  he  must  be  continuing  his  work  on  the  album  Eloquence  of  the  Eye.

Zoe  Law  was  born  on  October  31st,  1997.  She  is  a  seventeen-‐year-‐old  high  school  student  at  Park  Tudor.  Zoe  had  always  loved  drawing  and  painting  so  she  gave  photography  a  try.  Zoe  takes  Photography  1  and  has  found  a  true  passion  for  taking  photos  and  editing  them.  Zoe  Law  is  “well  known”  for  her  pictures  that  extenuate  the  eyes.

This  book  is  a  collaborative  work  between  two  photographers,  Zoe  Law  and  Steve  McCurry.  This  book  previews  works  from  both  Zoe  Law  and  Steve  McCurry.  The  theme  Power  of  the  Eye  describes  the  ideal  that  the  eyes  are  the  window  to  the  soul  and  that  life  isn’t  complete  without  a  little  play.  The  pictures  in  this  book  will  express  these  themes  in  pictures  of  everyday  life  in  exotic,  and  not-‐so-‐exotic,  places  and  the  beautiful  eyes  of  beautiful  people.

If a man insisted always on being serious, and never allowed

himself a bit of fun and relaxation, he would go mad or become unstable without knowing it.
