Since 1987, Power Electronics has paved their way to success driving high power applications. At that time, the industrial and agriculture sectors which were deeply involved in process retrofit and automation, found variable speed drives and soft starters a revolutionary opportunity to improve efficiency and control.
Since then, the company has grown and improved its product features by considering market needs. Above everything, we listened carefully to our customer´s requirements and suggestions. Without their help, the special requirements that are to be satisfied today, would have been harder to achieve.
Far from satisfied, Power Electronics has increased its industrial product portfolio and has also developed the Solar Division, which within a few months was positioned among the world leading manufacturers of solar inverters. We are considered the unique world class supplier of Medium and low Voltage AC drives and soft starters.
Everything is possible due to the exhaustive technical development, the full dedication of all our employees, and a continuous investment during the last 25 years, which makes us look at the future with great excitement.

In Power Electronics we believe we are a SERVICE and MANUFACTURING company of power electronics. We help you along the whole product life cycle, from plant lay-out the after sales technical service, by providing close, flexible and customer oriented assistance that ensures we keep long-term relationships with our clients and partners of the INDUSTRIAL and SOLAR PHOTOVOLTAIC sectors.
Our HEAD OFFICE in Valencia (Spain) houses our high technology R&D centre as well as the electronics manufacturing. Additionally, two FACTORIES with a net area of more than 20.000 sqm with an available area of 80.000 sqm can produce annually 1GW of solar and 5GW of industrial equipment. VERTICAL INTEGRATION of the whole production process, allows us to offer full FLEXIBILITY, outstanding QUALITY and IMMEDIATE DELIVERY, thanks to our complete production supervision and scheduling of the electronics, chassis cabinets, assembly and testing.
We design, manufacture and test the electronic boards of all our products. Our facilities are fully equipped with the latest PCB lead cutting and forming, automatic pin and welding. We apply aerospace and military grade conformal coating that provides the best protection against harmful external agents. An automatic artificial intelligence vision system and individual inspection, evaluates the quality level. An exhaustive test of the completed boards ensures perfect performance. We design and manufacture all the mechanical items of our equipment. Frame and cabinet mechanisation, mounting and painting, copper or aluminium bus bars production, protective plastic covers; all arrive in Power Electronics in different production stages that provide us full flexibility, which provides us with wide customisation capacity and outstanding delivery time for customer made solutions.

We elegantly combine assembly-lines for our electronics production, cabinet manufacturing, solar module assembly, low voltage variable speed drive and soft starter assembly; with flexible work stations for our medium voltage drive and soft starters. Power Electronics believes RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT is a tool for future growth for the company by investing 8% of the revenue on R+D+i projects.
We have over 100 experienced engineers focused on excellence within the power electronics sector who are supported through continuous collaboration with leading research and university organisations. Our R&D centres and factories are fitted with high-tech simulation and testing equipment for covering environmental conditions (climate chamber), electromagnetic compatibility (anechoic chamber), voltage dips simulation (VRT simulation workshop) and quality inspection (artificial intelligence vision system). These facilities allow us to bring together an outstanding DESIGN and high quality in MANUFACTURING.

Power Electronics history is underwritten by the personal achievement and courageous attitude of its founder Mr. Abelardo Salvo, who became a pioneer in power electronics development. He began his activity in Valencia (Spain), where outstanding technical 24h/7d service and great features which variable speed drives and soft starters offer to the industrial and agriculture sectors, created an opportunity that Power Electronics took by developing their own products.
Since the beginning, high quality service assistance and latter, an international expansion strategy, have been the key points to the company´s growth. After inaugurating the factory and R&D centre in the Paterna’s Technologic Park, Valencia (Spain), Power Electronics’ expansion kicked off. Truly convinced by the effectiveness of local technical service, Power Electronics opened new subsidiaries in Australia, Brazil, Chile, China, Germany, India, Italy, Korea, Mexico, New Zealand, United Kingdom, South Africa, and distribution centres in over 20 countries with local partners who share our customer oriented philosophy POWER ON SUPPORT.

HISTORY
In 2010, high demand in renewable energies pushes Power Electronics to create its own solar inverter brand Freesun by releasing LVT Series and HE Series. In a few months, these products were positioned in the market among the leading manufacturers.
Market trends and requirements change at great speed, hence Power Electronics inaugurates a new R&D centre in Madurai (India), and a new production centre in Higueruelas, Valencia (Spain). This outstanding growth allowed us to release new products in a short time frame: low voltage and medium voltage products for industrial sector (SD500, SD700KOMPAKT, SD700FL, SD700FR, VS65 and XMV660), and inverter products in the PV solar sector (Freesun HEC, HEC-UL, HES, HET).
We continue growing at great speed every year, and anticipate the near future will be of advancement and expansion, consolidating the 40 markets we are already present in, and keep adding new horizons to our future.

Medium voltage soft starter VS65 is tailored to fit the stringent requirements, and is delivered with maximum safety features, reliability and easy operation above everything. The VS65 can be relied upon to maintain continuous production. The VS65 delivers equivalent motor protections to those offered by motor protection relays that ensure the integrity of your operation under any abnormal situation. The VS65 is able to isolate the power stage from the MV grid and motor due to its built-in bypass and line contactors, hence providing both 100% efficiency and maximum safety. The SD700 FR is based on an Active Front End technology (AFE), replacing the traditional thyristor-diode rectifier bridge for an IGBT rectifier bridge. This technology enables a fully controlled bidirectional power flow (energy regeneration), cosine phi control, immunity to high voltage drops and a reduced THDi. The SD700FR Regenerative drive will reduce your energy bill, by not wasting the regenerated energy in braking units.

Freemaq SD700FA active harmonic filter (AHF) injects reactive and harmonic current to improve displacement power factor (cos φ), harmonic distortion (THDi) and voltage stabilization in your electrical distribution system. The 3-wire SD700 FA AHF monitors the load current or the line current at the point of interconnection, and injects the inverse current wave that cancels the harmonic distortion. SD700FA includes the most accurate dynamic harmonic cancellation algorithms offering a high performance at any load condition to comply with IEEE519.

The core of the SD700 family is based on a modular construction that is designed for heavy duty industries, offering the highest reliability across the power range. Over sizing of critical components together with a unique iCOOL filterless system, provides 50ºC operation as standard without derating.
“Cost-effective, compact and handy” are the watchwords to describe the single phase variable speed drive SD100. It is suitable for low power motors that require both automatic and manual regulation together with a high level of protection. The built-in joystick allows quick setting and easy operation.
A compact and cost-effective three-phase variable speed drive suitable for local and remote control of induction motors up to 22kW. It is available with multiple accessories that complete standard features in low power drives: RFI filter, dV/dt filter, Harmonic filters and display extension kit.

V2 is a compact electronic soft starter that is available in IP20/IP54 and equipped with external or built-in bypass. The V2 series are cost-effective soft starters that seek to combine a high level of features and easy operation, offering a plug and play solution for low power applications.
The V5 soft starter is well known for its built-in motor protections, reliable hardware, user friendly operation, control’s accuracy and power. The V5 is delivered with equivalent motor protections to those offered by motor protection relays, hence it allows an exhaustive diagnosis of motor and application performance.
