MEDIUM VOLTAGE SUBSTATIONS UGL is a leading provider of solutions for medium voltage substations from complete planning to design, turnkey construction and long term maintenance.

Accounting for a wide variety of factors, UGL’s substation design takes into consideration the coordinates of incoming and outgoing overhead lines, the number and location of transformers and specified voltage levels, also fundamental to switchyard layout.

Our solutions have been designed with economic efficiency in mind which pays off during the entire lifecycle of the substation and ensures a number of cost benefits to the client. Every substation has been thoroughly optimised for easy operation, accessibility, safety, and dependability.

LOW TO MEDUIM VOLTAGE (LMV) POWER TRANSFORMERSAs a part of our substation offering, UGL provides expertise and targeted solutions beginning with the initial installation and on through the entire transformer service life. UGL installs rectifier transformers that are designed according to exact client specifications, taking into consideration voltage, power, system topography, and noise emission levels.

Transformers are also relatively expensive long-term capital assets. With this in mind, UGL’s knowledge and services throughout the entire transformer lifecycle can make all the difference.

LOW TO MEDIUM (LMV) VOLTAGE CABLESWorking collaboratively with clients, UGL can offer the full range of services for low to medium voltage cable systems up to 100 kV from a single source, starting with cable engineering design and construction up to the final test and ongoing maintenance after installation. Our expertise in delivering cabling solutions effectively links offshore and onshore power generation to substations and to grid networks.
