Cyclex has been clinically proven in the defence against oocysts responsible for coccidiosis and cryptosporidiosis. Quat free and easy to mix and use this is a chlorocresol based disinfectant with strong microbial properties. Suitable for use in poultry, cattle, pig, sheep and goat housing. Water provides the quickest route for pathogens (Salmonella, E coli, streptococcus, oocysts etc.) to spread throughout a farm, where they will be ingested or absorbed.

Contaminated drinking water, can heavily burden the immune system of poultry. Which results in utilisation of energy to combat disease and associated distress instead of growth.

Often enough, parts of the water system are overlooked in the cleaning procedure, all aspects of the system need to be cleaned from the header tank to the distribution lines, water lines, to the outside of the lines and drinkers.

Kilco operate a standard three stage water hygiene program - a detergent phase to remove debris/scaling, a disinfectant stage to target biofilm removal and a water treatment stage to keep microbial levels low when animals are present. We also supply water supplements for use as required, ask us for more details.

Automatic washing of crates, modules and trolleys can be a challenging task. The biggest risk at this stage is that the washing system does not adequately clean the equipment before disinfection. The crates and modules are then used on the next farm increasing the disease risk to the next crop.
