Postgraduate Doctoral Programme in Pre-Modern History The Postgraduate Doctoral Programme in Pre-Modern History, based at the University of Zagreb, Department of History, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, provides acquisition of knowledge and competencies which enable the doctoral students who have completed the programme to become more professionally competitive in both public and private sectors. Doctoral students are trained, on subjects related to Croatian national and international cultural heritage, for academic and research careers by acquiring advanced techniques of research work, developing problem-centered, critical and interpretive approaches as well as improving the scholarly method and discipline. By completing the programme doctoral students acquire competencies for professional jobs in public services and expert institutions which are responsible for preservation, evaluation and promotion of cultural heritage, as well as for provision of consultancy services to a wide range of potential users in both public and private sectors. The programme is innovative and creatively oriented in terms of content, organization and performance. The right to enrol into the Postgraduate Doctoral Programme in Pre-Modern History have all applicants who have completed graduate studies in humanities and social sciences, with a minimum grade point average of 3.5 according to the Croatian evaluation system. Depending on the discipline, the Doctoral Programme Council may optionally prescribe additional requirements. The Doctoral Programme Council will, judging on a case by case basis, prescribe special additional requirements for applicants who have completed graduate studies in other scholarly fields. Candidates for enrollment in the programme must submit: Doctoral students will acquire the following key competencies and skills: enrollment application, accompanied by a short CV and a motivation letter. Postgraduate Doctoral Programme in Pre-Modern History

The Postgraduate Doctoral Programme in Pre-Modern History, based at the University of Zagreb, Department of History, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, provides acquisition of knowledge and competencies which enable the doctoral students who have completed the programme to become more professionally competitive in both public and private sectors.
