It was quick and easy to do . I am s till trying to dec ide if I should c reate a login and pas sword fo r my
s tudents and their parents (one login and pas sword fo r everyone).
The unfo rtunate problem with searching fo r new too ls and webs ites , computer viruses . The res t o f
Saturday was spent removing a virus from my laptop.

Poll EverywhereUnfortunately, s tudents in my room have trouble getting enough cell phone service to use their phones
in my c las s room. A few have enough coverage to s end a text so today I as ked them to take out their
phones . I wonder how many o f their teachers ask them to take their phones out and use them in
c las s . I showed them the po lls I have set up through Po ll Everywhere. I have asked the s tudents to
give hones t feedback on us ing Web 2.0 too ls fo r the review pro jec t.

Ins tead o f us ing the document camera to take no tes and show graphs o f radical func tions , I used my
Smartboard. Within five minutes , I had the parent func tion graphed jus t by c reating a table and us ing
the math func tion to graph it. Made the graphs easy to visualiz e fo r the s tudents . It is als o great that I
can save the no tes as a PDF file and put them on Edmodo in jus t a couple o f minutes .

Skyping on a Snowy DayIt was the ice that kept us home from s choo l today but that didn't prevent us from working on
homework. I was planning to help a s tudent and my son prepare fo r a tes t today but the road
conditions were too dangerous fo r her to drive over to our house. So we go t c reative. We
downloaded Skype on our laptop and she downloaded it on hers .

With a pad o f paper and some markers (to be sure she could see the problems being worked), we
began our Skype. We had a few laughs and felt a little bit s tres sed at times , but in the end, I believe it
worked well. Would it have been better to do in person? Yes . Maybe the roads will be better tomorrow.
If s o , we can finish the review in person. If no t, Skype it is .
