Background

• The background image that I will be using for my poster, is going to be an image of a light brown brick wall. I have decided to use a brick wall as the background, to get the urban image of the film across. The color of the brick wall will be a light brown, in order for the title and the main image to be clearly visible and stand out.

Image

• The image that I am going to use for the poster is going to be of the two main characters; Huseyin and Urim. The characters will be in costume, posing in a way that their characters personalities will come across. I am going to include props in my image; Urim will be holding the gun that he is seen using, in the teaser trailer and Huseyin will be holding Plato’s Republic book, which, again he is seen reading in the beginning of the trailer. The color of the characters costume will be quite dark colors such as blacks and dark grey. The image will be situated on the right hand side of the poster and will take up a significant amount of space on the poster.

Title

• The title of the poster is going to be ‘DOG REPUBLIC’. The title will be red, as I think this color will be eye catching and will allow the consumer to clearly understand that this is the title of the film. The title will be situated on the left hand side of the poster and will run into the middle of the poster. The title will obscure a small amount of the image. The font that I am going to use for the title is going to be Rockwell Extra Bold. And the font size will be around 72pt.

Tag Line

• The tag line of the poster is going to be on the top right hand corner of the poster, and it will read ‘ TWO friends, TWO partners, TWO brothers, TWO enemies…TWO dogs’. The color of the font will be white and the lettering style is going to be Impact. The size of the font is going to be much smaller than the title, at around 36pt.

Text

• The actors names will be underneath the title. However, all the actors names will not be on the poster, it will only show the two main actors names; Huseyin Tozanoglu and UrimRestelica. The actors names will be in a completely different font to the tag line and title, it will be BIG CASLON. The actors first name will be bigger than the actors last name; the actors first name will be 15pt and their last names will be 10pt. The color of the font will be black.

• Other text, such as the directors and producers names are not going to be shown clearly; they will be situated at the very bottom of the poster, in a black color box. The font is going to be very small, 8pt. The font style is still going to be Big Caslon, however the color of the font is going to be white.
