We are very excited to see what designers can come up with in their original posterdesigns that will capture the energy and vibe of Reggae Music. The goal is simple:create a poster about Reggae Music – the rest is up to your imagination. Feel free toexplore topics of Reggae covering any one of the genres. In addition, incorporate thecontest theme as part of the poster design.

The objective of the Second International Reggae Poster Contest 2013 is to continueto build awareness for Reggae music and to celebrate the global achievements ofReggae and its positive impact on the world. The term Reggae encompasses all thepopular Jamaican musical genres; Ska, Rocksteady, Roots Reggae, Dub, Dancehall andthe unique Jamaican Sound System. The Poster competition is part of a bigger visionthat seek to establish a Reggae Hall of Fame in Kingston, Jamaica.

We will also use this opportunity to raise funds to support the amazing work of ahistoric and wonderful Jamaican institution, the Alpha Boys' School. The Alpha Boys'School is a jewel in the center of Kingston, and it shines all over Jamaica and, throughits graduates, in the music they create, throughout the world. Alpha decades ofsuccess with young Jamaicans, entering raw and emerging world-renown musiciansthemselves is testimony to the storied success. Without this amazing institution andits successful music program; Ska, Rocksteady, Dub and Roots Reggae music may nothave been invented.

Each Entry must be submitted in size 50cm x 70cm, 300 dpi hi-res (CMYK) formatsuitable for reproduction, and JPEG (.jpg, .jpeg, or .jpe) or PDF format. Orientation:Vertical Only.

Artists/Designers are allowed to submit any number of original poster entries,however, you may not submit the same entry more than once.

There is no entry fee.

The top 100 posters and winners will be printed in the 'World-A-Reggae, InternationalReggae Poster Contest, 2012-2013' book, showcasing the posters of the two yearscontest.

The Biennial of Poster Bolivia, BICeBé is running the organizations towards the 2013event during in November 18th to 24th. This event co-organized by DiseñadoresGráficos Bolivia (Bolivian Designers), is considered the most important design event inSouth America and Bolivia opened to designers form all over the world.

BICeBé Is focused in pedagogic goals beside the main exhibition of the selectedposters of the contest, with weekly activities including Lectures, Workshops andExhibitions Openings.

We would like to share with you the BICeBé 2013 International Poster Call that will begenerate, a top class main exhibition.

There are 4 categories of participation:

• Posters on cultural topics and activities• Posters on political and social issues• Posters of advertising, commercial events, products or services• Unpublished posters on the topic: GLOBAL FINANCIAL CRISIS

Technique and format are free, except for posters submitted in the forth category,which must be 70 x 100 centimeters (vertical).


Eligibility

Contestants may be design students, graphic designers, plastic artists, photographersand graphic producers in general, of any age and nationality, having posters printedbetween April 2011 to April 2013.

Prize

For the first three categories:First, Second and Third Place. Medal and Diploma.

The international communication and social graphic art contest Posterheroes has justlaunched its third edition.

After dealing with the issues of energy and consumption, with the 2012/2013 edition,Posterheroes proposes a debate on sustainability in the fields of production, health,mobility and public life in cities. Together with the issues of the first two editions,these last ones complete the six characteristics suggested by the EuropeanCommunity as indicators for a Smart City.

This social communication competition, with the patronage of UNESCO, aims at theinvolvement of the creative community of the world around four issues of globalinterest - production, health, mobility and public life - in order to stimulate collectiveconsciousness toward a new way of life in the city.

In order to become 'smart' our cities have to become places where the resources willbe optimized and improved, they have to become an expression of new habits. Theywill not change their appearance. Will be the same city as before, but new, accessible,free, clean and transparent.

The creative people around the world are therefore called to express their sensitivityand their clear ideas of evolution through the creation of a graphic poster 50x70.


Eligibility

There are no age, nationality or profession limits, the contest is open to all graphicdesigners, creative people, illustrators, social communicator, world-changers.

Prize

For each categories, the jury, composed by international experts in the field ofgraphics and communication, will identify the top ten proposals, for a total of 40selected posters.

After the closure of the contest the posters will be published in the catalog ofPosterheroes and they will become part of future exhibitions and events that PLUG willorganize. Poster for tomorrow announces its 5th annual call for entries for socialcommunication poster designs. The project has been running its yearly contest since2009 and this year topic will be the right to housing.

‘Home’ means something different to all of us. The place where we grew up, the placewhere we live at the moment, the place we come to relax or entertain our friends afterwork. But for far too many people home remains a distant dream, a place to aspire to,as they try to eke out an existence in sub-standard accommodation or sleep rough onthe streets because they have nowhere else to go.

It doesn’t have to be this way. The United Nations has enshrined the right of everyman, woman and child to a place to live. Not somewhere to shelter from the elements,but a place to live in safety, security and ‘in peace and dignity’.

This is what poster for tomorrow is campaigning for in 2013: the universal right tohousing. It’s a huge issue, which is why we’re going to be approaching it slightlydifferently this year. There’ll be one central brief as usual, but every month fromFebruary until June we’ll release a new brief addressing a different aspect of the issue:causes, facts, consequences and solutions. But for now we’d like to invite you toconcentrate on one thing: the right to housing.

Contest's website will be open to receive entries starting 10 March.There is no entry fee.

Eligibility

Open to designers and design students from all over the world.

Prize

An international panel of 100 online jury members will shortlist received entries, whileour 12 jurors will meet in Paris next October to judge the 100 best posters entries.
