The next few slides will describe the college project you need to complete by 22 October 2012. Each component is worth a HW grade (make sure you pay attention to each individual part) and the final assignment is worth 3 HW grades. A rubric will be sent next week to give you more specific information on grading.
1. Use your 10 priority considerations.
2. Determine what your criteria are within each priority.
Example: Major – Forensic ScienceSetting – College TownTotal Cost – Under $25,000
3. Pick four colleges that interest you.
4. Find out the priority criteria information about each school.
5. Put the information in chart format. (see example)
6. Find out all of the entry requirements for each college. (SAT, ACT, GPA)
7. Based on your research findings, write a paragraph that explains which college is the best fit based on how well it meets your criteria.
8. Second paragraph – What do you need to do to meet the entrance requirements for the school of your choice.
9. Cite your sources for each college. I’ll send you a link to the website that shows how to properly cite your sources.
