Song Lyrics “If I Can't Have You” Yvonne Elliman

Don't know why I'm surviving every lonely day When there's got to be no chance for me My life would end and it doesn't matter how I cry My tears of love are a waste of time If I turn away am I strong enough to see it through Go crazy is what I will do

If I can't have you, I don't want nobody baby If I can't have you, ah, ah, ah… I can't have you I don't want nobody baby, if I can't have you ah, ah, ah…

Can't let go and it doesn't matter how I try I gave it all so easily to you my love To dreams that never will come true Am I strong enough to see it through Go crazy is what I will do

If I can't have you, I don't want nobody baby If I can't have you, ah, ah, ah… I can't have you I don't want nobody baby, if I can't have you ah, ah, ah…

GUESS T EHE MOTIONThey say a picture is worth a thousand words. Well, sometimes one expression isworth a thousand words! No words allowed in this emotion guessing game.

MATERIALS:

DOING IT:

Paper;pencil.

Write down a number of emotions, one emo-tion per slip of paper. Examples of emotions:angry, happy, surprised, sad, disgusted, afraid, bored, in love, confused, embarrassed, impatient, nervous, stubborn, astounded.Include some similar emotions, like happy andecstatic or bored and restless.

Talk about the kinds of feelings the wordsrepresent. Give examples. An example for theword "surprised" might be: "I can’t believe I got aD on this test. I studied so hard." An examplefor the word "disgusted" might be: "Uck! There’smold growing on this bread."

Fold the slips of paper in half and in halfagain. Scramble them in a pile.

Each person chooses a slip of paper. One ata time, people must communicate their emotionto the rest of the group. They can use facial ex-pressions, body movements, and sounds, but

.

The group must guess the emotion beingdemonstrated. How long does it take beforesomeone guesses the exact emotion? Howdifferent are people’s perceptions of theemotion? What are the most difficult emotionsto demonstrate? The easiest? Why?

5.

Humans are capable of feeling and displaying awide spectrum of emotions. Some emotions areso similar that it’s amazing we actually look atthem as separate emotions (what’s the dif-ference between being "pleased" and "happy"?).The ways in which we display emotions are asnumerous as the emotions we feel. One of themost common ways of expressing emotions isthrough facial expressions. In addition to thetypes of and ways of expressing emotions, thereare dozens of subjective responses to emotions. All people don’t perceive the same emotionwhen they observe a person expressing an emo-tion. Also, different people have different ideasof what is meant by "pleased" or "stubborn" orthe other labels we give emotions.

Topics: Human Behaviour; Communication.

As they age, women tend to getmore wrinkles than men. That’s because most men havea thicker "dermis" (the layer ofskin just under the surface),which may stay elastic longerthan a woman’s.
