The International Standard for Environmental Management Systems is currently in transition to ISO 1400:2015 – effective September 2017. A recent Gap Analysis has identified several corrective actions required, including the review and re-design of the AAD Environmental Aspects and Impact Register.

The work will help the student understand the broader context of the Division, especially in relation to protecting and managing the environmental aspects of Australia’s activities in the Antarctic and sub-Antarctic and Australia.

The AAD Environmental Management Unit is team based with the opportunity to work on set tasks individually (with assistance from supervisor) and provide feedback/suggestions as appropriate.

There is no limiting factor in this work that would affect flexible working arrangements.
