Position Overview

The Strategy Analyst Intern will work within the Strategy and Transformation team in Telstra Enterprise. The Strategy and Transformation team are a tight knit team responsible for the strategic direction of Telstra Enterprise working on key strategic questions including;

Which markets should we be operating in?

What are our medium to long term objectives?

How should we organise ourselves to achieve our objectives?

Who should we seek to acquire to help us achieve our objectives faster?

How do we integrate those businesses?

The team is dynamic and diverse and works across offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Singapore, Hong Kong and India. Many of the team have MBAs, or experience working in business consulting firms such as McKinsey, Bain or BCG.

The intern will work closely with Strategy Analysts and Strategy Associates to complete research projects which will include obtaining information on companies and preparing one page company profiles to assess capabilities of companies and wider scans regarding industry and technology trends. The intern will also likely need to work on presenting this information in a clear and concise manner usually using PowerPoint and Word.

The successful candidate will require basic financial knowledge, good research skills, sound computer skills, an enquiring mind and must be a fast learner.

Eligibility Requirements

Currently studying in their penultimate or final year of a relevant undergraduate or post-graduate degree with an Australian university
