The Program Support Team provides a range of corporate services to support the work of the Branch’s service delivery arm. This role will provide general support to the NAWM Branch’s Program Support Team and will undertake general administrative activities in support of the Team’s ongoing work and projects across the functional areas of training, staffing, finance, resourcing and quality. Position Overview

The National Access & Workload Management Branch (NAWM) undertakes access decisions for all potential participants of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). The Program Support Team provides a range of corporate services to support the work of the Branch’s service delivery arm.

This role will provide general support to the NAWM Branch’s Program Support Team and will undertake general administrative activities in support of the Team’s ongoing work and projects across the functional areas of training, staffing, finance, resourcing and quality.

Duties

• Assist with undertaking research and collating information as directed

• Work under limited direction to provide administrative support to the Program Support Team

• Undertake a range of data entry and document preparation tasks

• Assist in the collation and dissemination of reports

• General office duties, as directed

• Adhere to Code of Conduct and Work Health and Safety standards

• Experience with supporting people with a disability to maximise participation in community.

• Competency, or ability to develop competency, in consistently applying assessment tools to identify support needs.

• Competency with IT systems.

• Experience in building relationships both with internal and external stakeholders.

• Able to engage in negotiation if dealing with external providers.

Stage of study: second last or final year of relevant undergraduate or postgraduate degree

Australian citizens only

Entry Level checks will be required for all successful candidates and dependent on the role the appropriate working with children and/or vulnerable people checks may need to be undertaken as per State Legislation.
