About the Role The purpose of this position is to provide guidance and expertise in relation to people management matters, including responsibility for and coaching management specific to an allocated client base, and play a key role in human resources projects.
Key Responsibilities
Performance Management
Provide advice and support to management in the use of performance tools, such as review e-forms and performance improvement plans.
Provide effective coaching and support to management in the implementation of unsatisfactory performance procedures and strategies to improve performance.
Disciplinary and Employee Grievance
Provide coaching and advice to management specific to conducting employee disciplinary processes including legislative and organisational requirements.
Advise and support management in grievance and interpersonal conflict management.
Assist and manage the investigation and facilitation of employee grievance and disciplinary processes.
Draft appropriate documentation as required.
Industrial instruments and Policy and Procedure
Provide expert advice to management in the interpretation of workplace agreements and relevant legislation.
Develop, implement and review human resource policies and procedures ensuring ongoing compliance with the requirements of ISO:9001.
Ensure accurate maintenance of employee records in accordance with legislative standards and organisational procedures.
Recruitment and Selection
Advise and coach management on the recruitment procedure and policy and effective methods of selecting talent.
Create interview guides and relevant documentation as required.
Train and mentor leaders in selection techniques.
Project Management and Reporting
Assist the People Business Partner in drafting high quality briefs on key HR issues.
Participate in devising the annual People and Culture Operational plan.
Develop and deliver requested information and HR analytics for reporting purposes to the Executive Team and Board.
Implement key funded projects arising from the HR Operational Plan, using appropriate project management tools and processes.
Other Organisational Responsibilities
Adhere to all organisational policies, procedures, standards and practices
Act only in ways that advances RAQ objectives, values and reputation
Other duties, consistent with skills and experience, as directed by the reporting manager

About You To be successful in this position you will have:
Required Highly Desired
Qualifications Undergraduate qualification in Business Administration or People Management specialising in Human Resources Management or Psychology.
Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator qualifications.
Workplace Health and Safety qualifications.
Experience Significant experience in a range of employee relations issues.
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement policies and procedures.
Significant experience in providing support and coaching in human resources matters.
Significant experience in multiple complex industries.
Significant experience in delivering HR services to medium or large organisations.
Knowledge A strong working knowledge of employee and industrial relations frameworks.
Skills Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent skills in assessing and managing risk.
Capacity to be highly confidential, discreet and tactful.
