ACTIVITYSince December 2010, Portugal Fresh has been active within the main mar-kets and events of Europe and Africa (Fruit Logistica - Berlin, Fruit Attrac-tion - Madrid, SIAM - Morocco, NOVISAD - Serbia, Fresh Fruit - Denmark, Asia Fruit Logistica - Hong Kong). The association organized trade missions from and to Sweeden, Norway, Germany and Spain.

PROFILEAn important sector of the national production, which represents 36% of na-tional agricultural production and 61% of vegetable production, generating a business volume higher than 2.300 million Euros. Besides already showing a clear export tendency, it also generates employment, much of it consisting of young highly educated employees.

Surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea, which allows for a variety of quality agricultural products;Regional differences allow a diverse range of products;Fruit, vegetables and flowers all year round (on and off season);Production practices are aligned with good agricultural practices.
