Site Review

I, for once, consider that an institution's site should be a priority, because most of the people

are looking for information on the internet.

Referring to an educational institution, it is extremely important because it is often the first

thing that people see when researching their education, which is one of the most important

aspects of life. This is why, an educational institution should have an precise website with all

the important information, displayed in a nice and even elegant way. The website could

either encourage or discourage people in their search for a good school.

The site I choose to review belongs to the National College of "Roman-Voda" and it can be

found at the adress: http://cnrv.ro/ .

For starters, I think that the banner is nice. It is quite simple, but it contains all the elements

it should:the name of the institution, the logo and it's motto.

The navigation bar is quite vast, it divides the information in a lot of subclasses;on one hand,

this is good, because it means it contains all of the information about the college and even

more, but on the other, depending on the public and the experience that they have in

navigating online, it may cause some people to get lost in all of the information the site

contains.

When it comes to the individual web-pages from the navigation bar, one thing that I really

like is the fact that every one of them has one section that is the same, which is the one with

the useful links.I think that it creates a nice aspect and that is actually useful.

One thing which is the same, that I don't like, is the photo gallery which contains the same 3

images of the college for every page of the site. I think that it would be better if, for every

page there would be different galleries with significant images for the information the page

presents.

I like the home page a lot, because of the news idea and the constant updates and the fact

that almost every news contains an image.Besides it, the other pages have the same

structure: information and from now and then some images.I don't necessarily think this is a

bad thing, but like I said, the way the ample information is divided makes it really easy to

get lost in.

The color-scheme of the website is beautiful. I do like that whoever did the website used a

small range of colours-white, grey, burgundy- including the college's color. This combination

is really nice to the eye and it presents the information nicely.

Something I really despise about the website, is the padding. I think that it gives the site a

cramped, restricted appearance and it is not practical. It takes up a lot of space that could

have other purposes and it honestly doesn't look good at all.

When it comes to the overall aspect of the website, in my opinion, it is really simple,

ordinary and it looks a bit out of date.Honestly, for the prestige and worth that I know this

college has, I don't think this website does it justice.
