Bio

Born & grew up in eastern Slovakia, in the city named Košice.In 1988 our family got a Commodore 64 and since that moment my interests are all around computers and technology.

Prague changed my life. Opened my mind and gave me endless freedom and indepen-dence. And a lot of new and wonderful friends.

Prague College changed my life as well. Unleashed my creativity like never be-fore. School’s multicultural environment provides great working conditions.

Different cultures, travelling (some-times simply just walking) through-out Europe is my passion. Wherever I go it enrichens my body & soul with a new sparkling energy.

1 GRAPHIC WORKS

At the very beginning of my experience with mak-ing graphics lies my experience and passion with photography. Something like 10 years ago I purchased my f irst digital camera and since then fell in love with the medium of photogpraphy.

My next steps led to exploration of classical an-alog photo technology and from that moment the bat-tle between these two different aproaches went on. Realizing that the f ight could also lead to a com-plementary circle that closes I started to feel the need of exploring and confronting these two techno-logically oposite worlds.

I always believed in the concept of strong vis-ual impact and message without any aditional post-production. I sticked to this approach during my 2 years that I’ve spent on Prague College. I explored different techniques, concepts and visual styles.

Nem az első eset, hogy a Texas Instruments (TI) legfelsőbb vezetésének tagja Bu dapestre látogat: az analóg elektroni-kai üzletágért felelős alelnök, Gregg Lowe 2009. júniusi látogatásáról magunk is be-számoltunk. Az ő személyes látogatása is meglepetést kel-tett azzal, hogy több magyar kereskedelmi partnert, aktív és potenciális felhasználót fel-keresett (és nem csak a legna-gyobbakat!), sőt még lapunk szerkesztőségében is meg-fordult. Azonban úgy lát-szik, egyetlen további lépés erejéig még ez is fokozható, hiszen 2010. február 10-én maga az elnök-vezérigazga-tó, Rich Templeton látogatott hazánkba, hogy a magyar piac, az elektronikai ipar, az oktatás, valamint a szaksajtó meghívott képviselőivel ta-lálkozzék. A TI első számú vezetőjének megjelenése egy ilyen „lokális” rendezvényen valamilyen fontos bejelentést sejtetett, de nem erről volt szó: a Marriott Hotel – Budapest talán legszebb panorámáját kínáló – báltermében rendezett fogadás meghívott vendégei ismerked-hettek a félvezetőpiac egyik főszereplőjének fejlesztési eredmé-nyeivel, találkozhattak vezetőivel, beszélgethettek velük gondo-lataikról, nézeteikről, a magyar piac szereplőit is foglalkoztató általános gazdasági kérdésekről és a cég kelet-délkelet-európai régióját érintő elképzelésekről. A „Hungarian Day” rendezvényt Peter Notheis, a cég Dél-kelet-európai értékesítési igazgatója nyitotta meg. Röviden ösz-szefoglalta a magyarországi elektronikai ipar helyzetét, amely érthetővé teszi a TI érdeklődését a régió iránt. Az esemény ap-ropója a 2009 júniusa óta Budapesten működő, a hazánkon kí-vül még hat további országot támogató iroda „kissé megkésett” avatása volt. Magyarországot a világ egyik vezető elektronikai termelőrégiójának nevezni első hallásra talán meglepő lehet, de a számok ezt igazolják, 18 milliárd USD éves termelésével Indiával és Olaszországgal van egy „súlycsoportban”, a rend-szerváltás utáni évtizedben az egy főre jutó külföldi befektetés elérte az 1300 USD-t (ez például a csehországinak kétszerese). Ennek „ára”, hogy az elektronikai ipar 73%-a külföldi kézben van, azonban a 86%-os exportarány így is igen „jót tesz” a ma-gyar külkereskedelmi mérlegnek és bizonyítja a hazai termelés versenyképességét. Ez indokolja a TI gyelmét az ország iránt,

és ezért kíván az eredmények további javításában saját esz-közeivel, innovációs eredmé-nyeivel is részt venni. A bevezető után Rich Templeton üdvözlő szavai következtek, aki az elektro-nikai iparban 78 éve jelen lévő, az integrált áramkörök megszületésénél a Nobel-dí-jas Jack Kilby munkájával is „bábáskodó”, a technológiai fejlesztésre évente kétmilli-árd USD-t költő cég techno-

lógiai vezető szerepét, innovatív stratégiáját hangsúlyozta. A Gazdasági Minisztérium képviseletében Dr. Sipos Mihály fejezte ki jókívánságait a piaci jelenlétét magasabb szintre eme-lő TI-nek, méltatva ennek jelentőségét a magyar elektronikai ipar szempontjából. A program technikai prezentációkkal folytatódott, amely-re „érdemes volt oda gyelni”, mert a vendéglátók kvízjátékot rendeztek a közölt technikai információkból, és a győzteseket olyan termékekkel jutalmazták, amelyben magas arányt képvi-sel a TI-technológia.

Az esemény alkalmat adott szerkesztőségünknek, hogy beszél-gethessünk Rich Templeton elnök-vezérigazgatóval.

Mennyire szokásos, hogy egy regionális képviseleti iroda meg-nyitásán a cég első embere is megjelenik?

Templeton: Egyáltalán nem az. Magyarország azonban a földrajzi kiterjedéséhez képest jelentős arányt képvisel a világ elektronikai gyártásában, ráadásul egy olyan régióban foglal el központi helyet, amelyben nagy fejlődési lehetőségek rejlenek. Ezért jelent számunkra nagyobb eseményt ennek az irodának a megnyitása egy szokásos helyi irodáénál.

Eszerint Kelet-Európának fontos szerepet tulajdonítanak?

Nem „rendkívüli esemény” indokolta tehát, hogy látogatást tett Budapesten Rich Templeton, a Texas Instruments első embere. A cég jó hangulatú fogadáson látta vendégüla magyar piac képviselőit, amelynek során lapunk is interjút készíthetett az elnök-vezérigazgatóval.

2 VIDEO WORKS

Through the road of photography the way was point-ing also towards video and cinema. As this medium is more rich in terms of information it took me longer time to adjust and get used to the timeline.

During many editing sessions either for a friend, assignment or simply from curiosity to learn some-thing new I became more precise and acurate in my expression. Cut became my best friend, sound syn-chronisation second best.

While VJing was always what I admired during club-bing I never really had a chance to put my hands on it until Visualize That! in Pilot Club, which I put together for all 12 classmates and all of our friends that came to support us. Success!

Another step was a commisioned visuals for 3 nights for Ocean Versus Daughter in a lovely church Sv. Jana Křtitele na Prádle. Doing live visuals for band is exciting and needs a lot of attention. But it came out as extremely rewarding.

My next steps are leading to video mapping. It surprises the audience, leaving a lot of questions in their heads. Ilusion, surprise and sometimes con-fusion could be the topics for the future.

PurposeThe band wanted to push their show fur-ther in terms of visuals. Especially commisioned were the ones for Fringe festival 2010 when the band played 3 shows after each other in church Sv. Jana Křtitele na Prádle. The show was very successful and later on I had a chance to acompany their music again in new Belushi’s bar in Mosaic House.

PurposeAs part of my research for class assignment Computer Vision was my target to explore. I went even further. During UCXXI workshop I captured faces of participants. Creating com-puter 3D model - f irstly cloud point later transformed into 3D mesh it was implemented into UCXXI 3D platform built with Unity 3D game engine.
