Verde Green USDA Organic 100% Agave 375mlVERDE GREEN 100% de Agave Organic Tequila is a small batch of artisan Tequila produced at the Destiladora Del Valle de Tequila in Jalisco, Mexico. The process of distilling organic tequila is twice that of traditional tequilas, taking up to 65 days to naturally ferment since no additives are used. The Agaves that are used to produce this fine organic tequila are certified USDA free of any pesticides or chemicals and are tested for peak sugar content before harvesting by hand. The cost of producing Organic Tequila is three times that of most traditional tequilas. Throughout the process, from plantingto bottling, USDA inspectors are in the distillery ensuring that all regulations are followed to certify Verde Green “Organic”. This unaged Mezcal is produced in the traditional but less well known method refered to as pechuga. Santiago Ridge Wines - Chile

Soil: Hillside blocks with gravity soil over a stone layer approximately 1 meter deep.

Viticulture: 14 year old vineyards with a Guyot training system and low yields.

Harvest: All of the grapes for this wine were hand-picked during the second half of April.

Vinification: These wines underwent cold maceration and were fermented in stainless steel. Following malolactic fermentation the wine was aged in French and American Oak Barrels and bottled at the estate.

Terroir: Mediterranean climate characterized by large day/night temperature differences as a result of the proximity with the Pacific Ocean (80 Km) and Andes Mountains (60 Km). Unlike the neighboring areas, Requingua receives a fair amount of wind coming from the south during the summer afternoons. This helps keep the temperature from rising too much during the summer months. Requingua’s annual precipitation is 600mm concentrated during the winter months.
