THE CLOUD

Mobile Communication is changing rapid. New user needs require an ap-proach that allows faster and precise Information in relation to your status, contacts, location and content. The proposal contains models of how informa-tion can be linked in Mashup-like manner based on existing internet services and accessed with an interface tailored for on the Go.

ECON PorterElectric Cargo-Scooter

ECON is an electrical motorcycle, designed for Teiszmann AG, a swiss ma-nufacturer of electric vehicles. The main task was to design a motorcycle for cargo transportation (Postal Services, Food Delivery, etc.). ECON is a highly optimized vehicle for cargo transport in urban traffic.

Diploma project in cooperation with Frédéric Buergi.

ShaergConcept Car

The assumption that cars can drive autonomous in the future was the basis for this

limousine concept car. Shaerg is a hybrid between a sofa and a motorcycle, a hybrid

between comfort and driving pleasure. The vehicle is separable into a „lounge-part“

and a „speed-part“ even while driving. Because of the new wheel concept, the whole

vehicle can move in any direction and rotate on the spot.

DigitusFunctional Jewelry

This functional jewelry has its seeds in a potential future in material science. I think in 40

year it‘s possible to generate materials for highly compact and intelligent devices.

The device holds 1400 spheres which consist of magnetic and decorative material one

half each. This means that every sphere can be turned in every direction by inducing

electromagnetic fields and thus functions as a display. This active surface shows you

the time, your personal calendar data and acts as jewelry with morphing patterns that

reacts to your input.

StiffmasterHuman Powered Hydrofoil

The aim was to create a new aquatic sport on the basis of a human-powered hydrofoil.

It appears like a single person pedalo but if the driver has enough power it becomes

much faster than that.

We built a working prototype based on the test results from our DIY- flow channel

and did a test run in an open air bath. It did float all right but we couldn‘t complete the

test due to technical problems.

In cooperation with Frédéric Buergi and Marco Troiero.

AkkuschrauberrennenGolfcaddy-Kart

Mashup Vehicle for participating the „Akkuschrauberrennen“. Made from spaar parts from

the fleemarket and junkyard. With a normal battery drill, feet steering, 2m turning radius,

and max. speed of 25 km/h, we all had a adrenalin rush.

SmartpackBackbag-System

The smartpack is a backpack concept for individualist travellers who want flexibility in the

volume. The main bag features folding zones that can be strapped tight or kept loose for dif-

ferent load sizes. The bottom bag uses a “once-around-zipper-extension” that increases the

volume when opened. On the underside is a strap-on system for additional items (sleeping

bags, etc). The frame features two aluminium tubes curved in an s-shape to adjust to the

spine. The tubes are held together by a flexible yet stable plastic sheet. The belt construction

puts the weight onto the hips and away from the shoulders. Belt length, height, angle and

even the width of the neck can be adjusted.

In cooperation with Hans Peter Wyss.

Project SchneebrettDIY Snowboard

A project that was held by Lucas Vonarburg, Marco Trojero and myself for 12 participators.

We build our own snowboard press and afterwards every participator his/her own snow-

board with our guidance.

nology Center.

MoebiusAdvanced Music Sound System

This is a sound system that combines coverart with modern technology and ma-kes it possible to handle music in a more natural and intuitive way. You can play all types of digital audio media. Assuming that coverart will have a revival through enhanced digital possibilities the system allows for a higher ease of use. Just hold your coverart towards the sound system and it automatically loads the music. You can control the sound with a flexible remote control through bending and twisting.

Suisse CompleteInduction System for Traditonal Swiss Food

Traditional swiss food is well known all over the world. The crossover between tradi-

tional materials like wood and ceramic with modern induction technology results in a

tabletop-barbecue which allows the preparation of traditional swiss food like „Raclette“

and „Fondue“ in a secure way.

In cooperation with André Huber and Marina Tomljenovic.

seetheModular Induction System

„seethe“ inductionssticks uses the technology of induction cooking. A coil produces a high-frequency electromagnetic field that heats the magnetic material in the sticks. It‘s small enough to fit into any limited storage space and it can be used with any vessel as long as it is heatproof. And the simple form makes it easy to clean.

StreakBedsidelamp

This bedsidelamp is the result of a combination between a sheet of metal and an electro-

luminescent test package. Do you have most of your ideas just before falling asleep? Then

this lamp is the solution. The light is very soft but bright enough to let you write your ideas

down without blinding your eyes.
