The fear is one of the strongest human feelings. When we are scared we are trying to disappear to make our self’s invisible. The first association of fear remind me image of the scared child whose wrap his self in a blanket to escape. So the concept of dress is overlay wrapped in to a human body. The dress is oversized with sections at the sleeves which reminds on a escapes in our life’s, we searching for.

Architecture skirt was inspired by the museum of the Israeli architect Ron Arad. I had to take the original structure and IMPORT it in a skirt. The skirt is made of plastic tape applied to a circle around the basic skirt.

Futuristic sportswear

The project was carried out in collaboration with the Slovenian sport’s fashion brand Toper. They wanted a futuristic design, an eye catcher for their shop. The projected was inspired by the dynamic and movement of human body. I used a dynamical stitch for the dress, with oversized pockets which give it a futuristic touch. Material is leather, making the dress look futuristic, but at the same time sporty.

I entered the competition Young Creative Chevrolet 2012. The dress was inspired by a car, a Chevrolet Camaro SS. I had to imagine my perfect journey whit this car, so I did a research and decided on a journey to the future. Everybody wonders what would the future bring and if we think too much about it, we can become frightened. The dress has strong geometric shapes and was made of two different materials basic and pattern leather which simulate snake skin.

The video is about a girl who was committed to a psychiatry ward. She shouldn’t have been hospitalized, because there was nothing wrong with her, it was a mistake. So the girl wants to escape from the ward, but with no success. They keep her on medication, by giving her drugs that keep her woozy. She cannot escape from there, because the pills make her fell dizzy and stunned. So she succumbs to her fate and lives her life between two walls. The dress used in this video was the dress I made for a project by the NSK (Neue Slowenische Kunst) art collective.

The dress indicates many possibilities where life can take us. We can choose different path on our journey but for the most of the time we chose wrong one. Sometime the wrong one is the right one. So the dress sleeves were shaped like tunnel which lead us on the path of our destiny.
