ARTIST STATEMENT

It is always my delight to see people enjoying and understand my work. I love to inject humor and quirkiness especially in my illustrations and comics. Societal and human behaviors are usually my subject, as I want to make readers relate to the story and reflect on it.

As a graphic designer, I always make it a point to justify every element that I put in my design. The colors, the shapes, and the choice of images should convey meanings relevant to the theme at hand.

I believe the visual communications field does not stand by itself: it is connected to all fields, such as sci-ences and business. It aids them.

The Adventure of A Robbit

This 10-page comic was done for a graphic storytelling class final project and was featured in Southeast Asian comic anthology Liquid City Vol. 2, together with comics by renown artists in the region like Malaysia’s Lat.
