The abattoir is constructed startingwith a container in good condition. Tomaintain the integrity of security, wemake both hatches lockable frominside the container. In the bottom leftcorner is the hatch for loading live birdcrates into the killing area

This is the selling hatch underconstruction. The serving counterswings inside the abattoir and the roofswings down to lock the hatch fromthe inside. With this system, thesecurity of the container is good.

This picture illustrates the internalstructure where the water andelectrical fittings are all inside theceiling space, and made so robustlythat we are confident the systems inthe roof will never needmaintenance. In The left foregroundis the main circuit board to which allelectrical systems are connected,including the refrigeration controls.

Drainage is established from clean to dirty side without compromising the strength of the container by cutting the ribs under the floors

There are 4 wash hand basins, two in the processing areas, and one in each entrance lobby.

In this picture can be seen all thekilling area equipment. Right front isthe scald tank, behind it is a knifesterilizer, wash hand basin, in theforeground the killing cones, andfinally the stunner.

This is a view from the clean end ofthe plant. This is where the birds areeviscerated, cooled and then cut upand packing takes place. Front left isthe incomplete serving hatch, apacking table with a whole birdpacking funnel, behind that a portioncutter(blue motor) then theevisceration trough, you can see thesmall white meat bins for holding thered offal, a sterilizer on the wallseparating this room from the dirtyroom. On the right back is the gibletwash and pack station, and in theforeground the storage refrigerator. PAGE 3

This picture shows the under counter fridge. This fridge will hold a little over 800 packed chickens.

Each lobby has a combination boot and apron wash. All processing and hygiene equipment is made from stainless steel

This is the air chill unit sans its curtains. The birds go onto 12 bird gambrels and as the kill progresses, the birds are pushed 12 at a time through the unit, the first birds coming out in just over an hour. PAGE 4

This is the eviscerating trough with dressing rail above and small meat trays for giblets. The goose-neck pipes are hand rinsing water supply and also serve to wash the offal down to the end of the trough
