This production ofCAMP ROCKis the second summer musicalfor the Players On the Potomac!

Heres how it all began...Lansdowne mom, Wendy Marco, has adaughter that loves musical theater the way other kids lovesports. Ironically, Marco is a professional hockey skating coachand spends the majority of her working hours training younghockey players. However, she discovered that unlike thecountless options for kids dedicated to hockey, soccer, football,

etc., development and performance opportunities for youngactors are extremely limited in Loudoun County. Frustrationturned to ambition. She pitched the idea of a teen communitytheater organization to Lansdownes HOA and they generouslygave POP a home, offering the Potomac Club ballroom asrehearsal space and the outdoor amphitheatre forperformances.

One year ago, the Players On the Potomac premiered its firstshow, Youre a Good Man, Charlie Brown. The parents of thatsmall cast of 10 actors selflessly dedicated many hours to helppull off a weekend of performances that was far more

successful than anyone could have imagined! The foundingmembers of POP solidified a future for the organization. Thissummer the Players On the Potomac are back, and the familyhas grown from a cast of 10 to a cast of 32 with even more hard-working volunteer parents.

We hope you enjoy CAMP ROCK, and we look forward to seeingyou again at our upcoming Players On the Potomac shows. Ifyoud like to join our organization or learn more about PlayersOn the Potomac, please visit www.PlayersOnthePotomac.org.
