1. Internship title: BUILDING CONSTRUCTIONDuration: 7/6/2013 to 17/7/2013Description: This internship was done at NCC (Nagarjuna Construction Company) at Yelahanka. In this internship I gained the knowledge of field works like Concrete Batching, Concreting, and Masonry work, Flooring, Tiling, Plastering, Water Proofing in Terrace (Brick Batten Method) and Quantity Estimation for Plastering and rebar.

PROJECT DETAILS:

Project Title: Comparative Analysis of Flat Slab to that of Common Slab.Softwares Used: Auto Cad and Staad.proDuration: 4 months from 10-1-2014 to 10-5- 2014Description: This project was started with a literature review using the journals. AUTO CAD software was used to draw plans, reinforcement details for slabs, and beams. Analysis of the planned structure was done by frames .We used STAAD.Pro software to analyze the frames assumed. Design of Slabs, Beams and Flat Slab were done using Limit State Method of Design according to code book IS-456-2000. Reinforcement detailing was done for all the above designed Reinforced Concrete Components according to code book SP-16.

Comparative analysis was done between flat slab and common slab based on the results got through staad pro for Nodal displacement,Stresses ,Deflection,Quantity of steel and concrete ,Construction cost and Construction time.
