WHAT IS IT?If you're running for office, you can choose public endorsements to feature on your politician Page to help potential voters know why you should be elected. Endorsements show voters that you're a vetted, credible candidate and can increase your name recognition with the people who'll be casting a ballot.

HOW IT WORKS

Anyone on Facebook can endorse you by going to the Endorsements tab on your Page and creating a post.

Just like a regular post, an endorsement post will appear in News Feed and can be seen by anyone who has permission to see it.

If a post is set to Public, you'll have the option to feature it on your Page.

When people visit the Endorsements tab of your Page, they'll see your featured endorsements as well as any that their friends have created.

MANAGING YOUR ENDORSEMENTS

We'll let you know when someone has created an endorsement about you. It's easy to add or remove endorsements on your Page.

Remember, if you choose not to feature an endorsement on your Page, it will still exist elsewhere on Facebook.

If someone edits their endorsement of you, it will automatically be removed from your Page until you have a chance to review the changes and add it back if you'd like.

ASK FOR ENDORSEMENTS AND ENDORSE OTHERSCreate a post seeking endorsements from your colleagues, local businesses, unions and organizations you work with, and your constituents— right from your endorsements tab. Your post will have a direct link to make it easy for people to endorse you. This is a great way to give your supporters a way to take action to help your campaign.

KEEP IN MIND…

People may have endorsed you previously on Facebook or elsewhere. For you to be able to feature their endorsement of you on the Endorsements tab of your Page, they'll need to enter it in directly from the tab.

Asking for endorsements

If you want to endorse another politician, visit the Endorsements tab on their Page and tap or click Endorse. Your post will appear in News Feed and the politician will be able to feature it on their Endorsements tab if they choose.

FAQ:

As a Page admin will I be given insights on how many endorsements I have?You'll receive a notification any time you have new endorsements, but your endorsements aren't tracked in Page Insights.

Can I advertise to the people who have endorsed me?You won't be able to target ads to your endorsers as a custom group, but if they're in your district, you can reach them by targeting ads to your district. Learn more about running ads on Facebook for Politician Pages.
