Permit and escort

Permit – 6 categories, escort – basic requirements

Current permit

Permit Oversize vehicles Roads

Cat. I

a) dimensions and GVW not higher than permissible values,

b) axle loads not exceeding the values designated for roads with permissible single axle load of up to 11.5 t;

- 30 m for a combination of vehicles with steering axles,

c) height not exceeding 4.3 m,

d) GVW not exceeding 60 t,

e) axle loads not higher than values designated for roads where the permissible single axle load does not exceed 11.5 t;

Escort in Poland

Applicable provisions concerning escort

Oversize vehicles exceeding at least one of the dimensions below:length - 23 mwidth – 3.2 mheight – 4.5 mGVW - 60 tons

are to be piloted by 1 pilot.

Oversize vehicles exceeding at least one of the dimensions below:length - 30 mwidth – 3.6 mheight – 4.7 mGVW - 80 tons

are to be piloted by 2 pilots, one in front of and one behind the vehicle
